- Dear Management,I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel on 23jan to 25 jan. My experience was entirely unacceptable and fell far below the standard advertised.Upon arrival, I discovered the following issues:Sanitation: The room was in an unhygienic condition with significant amounts of dust.Safety & Environment: There were work materials left on the premises and constant, excessive noise that made it impossible to stay.Misrepresentation: The property was not as advertised, as it appeared to be an active construction site rather than a functional hotel.Due to these conditions, we were forced to leave and find alternative accommodation at our own expense. Furthermore, we were treated poorly by your staff when we raised these concerns. Although a team member promised a refund for one night of our two-night stay, this has not been returned to my account.Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with "reasonable care and skill" and match their description. Given that the room was uninhabitable, I am requesting a full refund for both nights.I have attached [Photos/Videos/Receipts] as evidence of the room's condition and my alternative booking.I look forward to your response and confirmation of the refund within 14 days. If this is not resolved, I will escalate the matter to my Credit Card Provider for a chargeback
- I didn't like it i traveled with a friend as I have done previously we booked at bunk bed room and when we got there was told we booked a double room which we definitely didn't told us there is no other rooms available and we will give u a extra blanket instead of sorting the problem told me they only had a room in the hotel opposite which was over 200euro for the one night I ended up finding an alternative accommodation for around 140euro for the night at my own expense tried to contact cs hotel and we never stayed in the room top floor door straight in front of you I believe room 52 the window don't evan close lil bit of wind and it just flys back open they have put a chain on the window so it doesn't fly all the way open
Cons -
- Renovation has been very loud below.Extremely steep and narrow stairs, not for carrying the laggeds. We were expected a wee kettle in a room.Draen was half blocked, water hardly goes away.
- Someone at reception to speak to Help resolving the problem
- If you are disabled, this hotel, like most places in Amsterdam is not made for you. The stairs are really steep and I didn’t see a lift.

The hotel is clean and in an excellent location. The room was simple but exactly what I needed. A resonable place to sleep and shower.
While the hotel was a good price for a couple of nights, we at least expected a clean room and working bathrooms. We had trouble with the toilets on our floor and had to go to other floors to utilize the bathroom. Our sheets had weird yellowish stains and towels had a foul mildew scent. Desk staff was also unhelpful when it came to trouble with our door code. It eventually started working but we were unable to use our code at the front door and had to wait for people coming in and out to enter
The hotel is 5 months walk away from the train station. Very central and close to bars and restaurants. Our room had its own bathroom and toilet which was very appreciated.
If you are disabled, this hotel, like most places in Amsterdam is not made for you. The stairs are really steep and I didn’t see a lift.
- Great location to city centre- Clean room- Clean communal areas- Friendly staff
- Bathroom was a shower/toilet room- TV didn’t work
The location is very central. It is within walking distance to the Centraal station.
There is no elevator in the building and it was challenging to move luggage up the steep staircase.Soundproofing is poor; noise from people walking in the corridors and opening/closing their doors can be heard in the room. There was no reception in the building. There was no phone available in the hotel to contact the hotel staff. Even though there was a contact number provided, some tourist may not have call roaming.

Location, checkin process, strong heating
The room and tv and bathroom are relatively small but good for a short stay
Good location
Maybe the smallest room i had in my life you could say comedically small *had to laugh when i saw it*. Rooms are mostly on the top floors so bringing up the luggage was challenging without a lift in the house.
Great location
My sheets were not very clean, also the rooms were not as expected. Could be my fault for not checking but definitely more of a hostel private room than hotel
Great location!
The shower setup was not what I expected - there was essentially a toilet with a shower head and a drain, instead of the shower being separate. The walls were also very thin, so noise traveled easily between rooms.

I stayed at CS Hotel based on a colleague’s recommendation. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the experience turned out to be excellent — way beyond my expectations. The location is amazing — it's just a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station, which made transportation super easy. Whether you're arriving by train or heading to the airport, you won’t need to worry about long walks or expensive taxis. One of my favorite features was the online check-in. I completed everything while I was still on the train and received my room number and door code ahead of time. That meant I could relax and take my time — I grabbed dinner, went to a bar, and didn’t need to rush to the hotel. When I finally got there, I could go straight to my room and rest. The room was small but very clean, which was totally fine for me. There’s no elevator, only stairs, but I was only carrying a backpack, so it wasn’t an issue.Overall, it’s a great budget-friendly option. I wasn’t looking for luxury — just a clean and quiet place to sleep — and this hotel was perfect for that. I’ll definitely stay here again next time!
I actually just stayed at CS Hotel two days ago, and unexpectedly found myself back again after missing my flight today. Luckily, they still had rooms available — what a relief! The online check-in and check-out system is super convenient and saved me a lot of time, especially since I have to catch a train early tomorrow morning to get to the airport. It’s perfect for situations like this when every minute counts.Although the front desk is located in a building across the street, if you use the online check-in, there’s really no need to go over. The system is easy to use, and everything went smoothly. That said, the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful if you do need assistance.Coming back within just a couple of days really shows how much I trust this place. I’ll definitely choose CS Hotel again next time I’m in Amsterdam!
I recently stayed at CS hotel Amsterdam and was thoroughly impressed by its unbeatable value. The price was very reasonable, especially considering its prime location right next to Amsterdam Central Station. This made exploring the city incredibly convenient—trams, trains, and major attractions were all within easy reach. The room was clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a short stay. While the amenities were basic, the overall experience was great for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay in the heart of Amsterdam, I highly recommend this hotel. Perfect for budget-conscious travelers who want to be in the center of the action!
CS Hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, making the location super convenient. I was able to check in online using my own phone, which was fast and easy — no lines at all. The room is small but very clean and well-maintained, perfectly suitable for a solo traveler like me. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money. Highly recommended for short stays.
Location
Stairs are real steep and if you have luggage to haul it’s horrible.Bathroom was terrible. It’s like they put a toilet in a shower.
