The price was good for the area.

Rooms were run down. Stained carpet. Smelled smokey though it was non-smoking. Check-in staff could have cared less.TINY shower.

For a non smoking hotel, our whole first floor and room smelled like an ashtray. They did not enforce the no smoking rule for the facility. Noise level was a nightmare too; neighbors were constantly arguing and screaming, and nothing was done by hotel.

The hotel was good given the price point. The rooms were minimalistic, but clean (I assume they've been renovated since some of the other reviews). Location was also good with plenty of transportation options.

The hallways reeked of smoke, which luckily didn't get in the room, but was still unpleasant to walk through. The walls are also paper thin, so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

The location was decent, within a few hundred meters of the Vondelpark and as such within walking distance of many Amsterdam attractions.

The rooms was dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained, with chipping paint and a cracked toilet seat, and lacked many basic amenities such as a safe. The staff were unwelcoming at best and the check in frustrating. I would very much prefer a hostel!

Location was good

It smelled so bad I wanted to vomit. I would not ever return the sink and bathroom caulking was moulding. The carpet had stains and overall smelled like sewer. We did everything we could to not be on the room.

Not really. The room was a little small but expected. Really best price I could find and its worth it.

The basement rooms are awful. The upper rooms aren't bad.

It was close to several attractions and was in a decent neighborhood.

The rooms were small and seemed a little unclean. They were really hot and had no a/c. The Windows wouldn't stay open so we had to wedge something in it.

The location of the hotel was great. The staff was very nice. The lobby was nice. The breakfast was ok for the money.

The rooms were worn, tired and dated. The TV was not working properly. The bathroom was small.

Charming boutique hotel near the museums. Romantic setting, ideal for couples (or single travelers). Stylish, service friendly, a neighborhood feel so close to major attractions/museums.

It's an old building (why it's so charming). So, you'll hear people above you and walking through the halls. But, for a unique boutique experience, it's worth it.

Staff and location were more than we could ask for.

No a/c and it was 90 degrees. Asked for a fan and they didn't have any.

Difficult to say, but it is central.

Where do I start?! - Dirty room - Elevator wasn't very helpful, only two stories - Walking to the room is very awkward - Shower and toilet are combined... - Old ugly uncomfortable furniture - super slow wifi - pictures don't show the reality

Location, Location, Location! Easy walk to major museums. Easy access to popular Tram system. Hotel staff friendly and helpful.

More electrical outlets in the room would help. Modern travelers have phone and computers that need overnight power to recharge. We brought our own plug adapters but had to dig behind furniture to plug in. A simple plug strip near the bed would be great!
