    • Best location staff are so friendly rooms are clean/basic but for the price what a bargain! Loved every second here really created some great memories with my wife, they even returned a sentimental item we left in the room when we to collect our bags ❤️ lovely people thank you for a great stay we will back!

    Cons -

    • Tiny bathrooms, the pillows weren’t great. Rooms a little dated - I think a little bit expensive for what they were
    • The stairs LOL you’ll understand when you get there
    • There was nothing we didn't like.

Nice spot for tourists. Friendly staff, clean, quiet and cute room with a balcony. Nice breakfast. Super market and restaurants around. We would like to stay here again next time in Amsterdam! Anne Frank museum is just across the street but book tickets ahead on time as it is usually sold out.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Everyone was really helpful I would like to especially thank the old man who helped me with my luggage. The room was a little bit small but useful we had everthing we needed.

Excellent location - able to walk everywhere. Nice room, comfortable bed, good breakfast

The location is truly very central and – although the spaces are quite small (it’s a rather old building) – it’s a great compromise if you want to stay right in the heart of Amsterdam. However, the real highlight of this hotel is the staff: wonderful people, kind, always helpful. I’ll definitely come back for their warm hospitality! Breakfast is simple but good, with options for both sweet and savory preferences. The breakfast room has a beautiful street view and a relaxing atmosphere.

It’s not suitable for people who struggle with tight spaces or have difficulty climbing steep, uncomfortable stairs.

beautiful view and i love the deco it was very grandma kitsch vibe

our first room was very small but i guess it is good value for money

Nothing, it was the worst experience ever, i left the building without even asking for refund.!!!! It's awfull, small and not clean with really old beds and tiny bathrooms.

    1) small room : the room had the width of the window 2) untidy room 3) unclean room 4) tiny bathroom 5) the bed was for kids not adults i couldn't even fit to it.there was no space at all

Good location close to church by Ann Frank's House. You will hear the bells.

Staff are so friendly and location is amazing near central station and Dam square. Amazing hotel for me. Breakfast is generous and it helps me start a good day.

    Nothing at all

It's a nice authentic accommodation with the typical steep, endless staircases and narrow rooms. Staff were all very kind and helpful. Breakfast was really good, too.

    There was nothing.

    Location and Breakfast is okay

Bedbugs, be careful! Realized only last day before my departure, while i already had itchy parts on my skin.

    Location. A traditional Amsterdam property.

You have to be prepared for VERY steep stairs. The room was tiny and tired. This was not a 2 star experience.

    6ZenPosted on: 1-27-2026

Rather centrally located and staff were friendly.

The shower drain was clogged and smells of damp. Carpet looks uncleaned or need a new carpet.

    8VasilPosted on: 1-25-2026

Nice, cheap hotel in the center of Amsterdam. The Workers in the hotel was very polite and helpful.

    The bed was very uncomfortable.

    10HalfordPosted on: 1-20-2026

Perfect location for exploring all areas of amsterdam couldn't of asked to be in a better location! Rooms comfortable size and staff are lovely! Breakfast is included in the stay too! Staff on are the desk 24/7 so you always feel safe and tjeres always somewhere to answer a question. Staff were good at languages meaning they could talk to everyone, English,, Dutch, Spanish etc!!

Mould in kettle of one of our rooms just because havent been uses very often but was fine we just didnt use it anyway but just check before drinking

    9LauraPosted on: 1-19-2026

The location was ideal. The rooms are a little stuffy, but I for one liked the old-fashioned vibe. The breakfast room had a balcony with a lovely view of the canals. The hotel is super close to the Royal Palace, to Tussaud's, and to the Anne Frank Memorial House.

The rooms were kind of crammed and the breakfast was not exceedingly diverse, but it was fresh nonetheless.

    10NataliePosted on: 1-18-2026

We love the location and the staff are extremely helpful. We had gorgeous flowers on arrival as it was our anniversary, very thoughtful of them, thank you

The stairs are very steep but it’s the same everywhere. It would not stop me retiring

    10KarenPosted on: 1-15-2026

Location was great, staff was friendly, place has charm & character. Was so glad to see Michael? before we tried to go up the stairs with our 50 lb suitcases ;)

Room was a little cramped with our luggage but having a water view made up for it. Inform guests that someone will assist with luggage. We never would have made it up the stairs with ours.
