    • Great location, nice environment, helpful and polite staff.

    Cons -

    • Where do I start? This hostel wreaks of marijuana and piss. Everything is sticky, the beds are the worst thing I’ve ever slept in. The pillows? Bring your own. The AC turns off throughout the night so you’ll wake up with a 104° fever and a contact high.
    • For some reason they seemed reluctant to issue tea bags ? Seeing that we were paying over 150 a night for 2 of us I thought this was extremely mean to say the least !!
    • The entrance is a bit tight and there are some steps which make entering the hostel a bit inconvenient if you have big luggage or special needs.

    Location and cleanliness

The bunk beds had no guardrails. The windows were old and poorly maintained, constantly letting in cold air. The bunk bed ladders hadn't been installed.

I arrived and didn't even stay the night. Left to another hotel.

Room was too dirty for a "party hotel", there was a used towel (from a roomate, maybe?) and, also, my locker was being used by someone else, didn't stay long enough to figure out who.

    The location is top-notch

Our room reeked of urine, even though the toilet door remained closed the whole timeBecause of that I felt nauseous and couldn't fall asleep for a considerable amount of time

Clean, good kitchen, friendly staff and other people staying there are really lovely. Staff were great too and always happy to help. Really close to the train station.

Would have been nice if the locker storage was free. Glad there was a female only dorm that I got to stay in however I believe there was only one, would be good to have a few more (:

    The place and the rooms

No breakfast even if you wanted to pay. No coffee

    9GarethPosted on: 2-2-2026

Friendly staff, comfortable hash, weed smoking room bunk beds

Bunk beds were a bit uncomfortable

The staffs and the place are awesome. Although we chose a mixed dormitory, it didn't failed our expectations.. It's a bit of an experience to be around other peoplw from different nationalities which makes the experience more fun. There is also a big and clean kitchen, a nice shower, a nice place to pee and also poo.

Those two Korean girls who were below our bed who were very, very noisy specially around midnight. They kept on opening their luggages and such.

Lovely place, very near to city centre! Price competitive and lively environment!

    5AlperPosted on: 1-22-2026

Staff was quite friendly and location could not be better. just in the heart of the city.

Maybe because it was an old building. Conditions and comfort was bad. The toilets are maybe 1,2 m2 . one normal size man can only fit in. I had to keep the door open to be able to bend to the sink. And better read the description of the rooms well. very small and dark and toilets and baths are in the corridor which is shared by the whole floor . And no proper wardrobes but metal boxes under the beds which you have to make a lot of noise and disturb all to be able reach your stuff. For students and low budget people bearable.

It’s very conveniently located in city centre of Amsterdam and close to train station

Could have been more bathrooms available

    7DawsonPosted on: 1-19-2026

The property is in a very central location, but wasn’t too loud. Staff were super friendly and nice having a bathroom in the room. Seemed to have all the facilities we needed although we just stayed one night.

We were the only people in the room but they allocated us the top double bed bunk. The kitchen only opened at 12pm, so it was difficult to have your own breakfast if you opted out of their paid breakfast service. Would recommend asking to get your key card deposit back, just as they didn’t remind us and it didn’t seem a part of their usual checkout process.

    Only the location

The room was far too small for two people and had a strong, unpleasant smell. The toilet seat was awkwardly placed and seemed designed for children. Staff were rude when I asked for toilet paper, even though I offered to take it myself.Policies like no late check-out and paid luggage storage weren’t mentioned during booking. Lockers only fit small backpacks, and extra storage costs around €7 per bag.The only good thing was the location.

The place is a lot of fun. Dont have doubts about staying there alone, youre not gone be bored. Staff helps you with everything. (Thanks Nana) And kitchen is fully equipped. The toilets and bathrooms were clean, bit far from rooms but still alright. Great location. In the center, but if youre hungry in the evening you'll have to walk a lot to get to a grocery shop. Our room had a lot of beds, but it was still private. And overall good experience.Great price for such location and facilities.

It was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on.

    Nice location and nice people

As a bar simultaneously it’s a bit too crowded and the public area is a bit limited

    10DeividasPosted on: 1-7-2026

Staff was amazing! Bar at the ground floor of the hostel, nicely made smoking area, game night every evening. On my last day i extended my stay for another 2 days

The staff are so wonderful, helpful and keep the venue very clean. We had a problem with one of the toilets and was fixed straight away. Very impressed. Food and drinks are reasonable priced with 2 happy hours. Awsome bunch of people!!

Warm and welcoming crew, good bunch of fellow travelers and events to create social connections.
