Cons -
- The smell when I walked in. Everything else was perfectly fine!!
- To be located in the red light district , bucked beds and no bathroom in the bedroom
- Stayed on the 3rd floor of their secondary building. No elevator, and stairs were extremely tight, steep and narrow, and it was a challenge getting suitcase up/down.

To be located in the red light district , bucked beds and no bathroom in the bedroom
Centre off the city. Easily walkable to anywhere. Close to bus/train station.

The location and ambience
The close quarters and stairs
There is someone at the front desk 24 hours. The employees are friendly. The breakfast is very good. The bedding is clean and comfortable. The location is walking distance from many attractions. The bedroom has a nice view of the canal.
The height of the bottom of the bunk bed is short so you can easily bump your head if you are not careful.
Last-minute trip, booked a 4-bunk room with family. Very convenient location, surprised that we had a lovely canal view and nice linens. The room was great; it was nice to have a sink in there. Location was perfect for exploring and central to many attractions- but the alley it was along was peaceful and safe. Breakfast exceeded my expectations and was amazing, with many things to offer and a great coffee machine. I have not stayed in a hostel in a while, so I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom, but it was well laid out. We were on the second floor, and there are multiple private showers/toilets on each floor which works out great. The price was reasonable for the day before booking, and the central location! Stairs, as I expected, are small, so they might be tricky with big luggage, but so cute!
The shower could have drained better.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.
Nothing minor, but a mop to clean excess water off the floor of the shower would have been appreciated Also the curtains could be a littlebit further from the window to let in more air or less light. This felt like a hostel rather than a hotel so we wouldn't consider it good value for money.
Great location and breakfast
I stay in a small room with 3 beds, it was very clean and everything my only complain is you need at least a mirror on the room. bathroom was very very small, my daughter could it even close the door.
The staff seemed friendly and willing to help, even if somewhat burnout with social fatigue, there are visible safety cameras in many places and every floor, the shower room was tight but water was good and strong. There was no place to put amenities, but there is was a towel available in in the room and hanger in the door. The breakfast was quite nice, and I would gladly say it seemed better than most 3-4 star hotel breakfasts I known.
The access to some of the rooms is in another building in the back, via an alley with a couple of half naked women in booths (red light district-style) depending on the hour, dirt, and the omnipresent smell of Marijuana. The stairs in the building are very tight narrow, it's hard to carry up a heavy bag. In the room, the bed is short (I'm 180 cm and it was not enough), walls are wood-thin so noise is a problem, even though I booked a private room, I could hear a half-volume phone speaker across the wall quite well, and next door neighbors yawning at 2h20 finally preparing to sleep, so I didn't get much of it myself. Also concerning is the perceived safety and privacy—or lack thereof. Electronic lock doors had the backup mechanical core (for when the electricity goes out) completely removed in several doors, the valuables safe in the room had its brand tag half removed, exposing the hidden factory keyhole to open the safe (effectively bypassing the electronic code lock), there were very concave fish-eye mirrors in the toilets (quite useless, as they distort the images) that could not be removed to check for cameras no matter how hard I tried, the luggage storing rooms at the reception were walk-in and no one checked if we left with the same items we put there initially, though I had no problems with my items.

Too tiny and no elevator. Hard to carry heavy luaggages
location
getting up to my room via the Dutch stairs up three flights.
The staff during check in and check out was amazing and very friendly. Our room was ready earlier so we could leave our luggage and start sightseeing earlier. Good breakfast, plenty of options. Excellent location for Eurostar travellers.
We were slightly surprised by small size of the room (2x3m), but it doesn’t really matter, we’ve only slept there :)
Central location, but also in the middle of the red light district which meant naked women offering themselves in the neighbouring windows, a bit weird for kids
Central location, but also in the middle of the red light district which meant naked women offering themselves in the neighbouring windows, a bit weird for kids. Shower leaks into corridor, so corridor floor covered in towels. Room window into corridor, not outside, so noise from other guests.
The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of the city, which made it extremely convenient to explore everything on foot. The staff was friendly and helpful, and overall, for this price range, the experience was quite satisfactory.
There were a few things that could make the stay more comfortable. The room itself offers only the essentials – beds, towels, a small bin, a table, a few chairs, and lockers. It would be great to add a few everyday conveniences, such as a kettle or even just a few glasses, which can make a big difference for travelers.Additionally, the toilet and shower are located outside the room, which is acceptable, but the facilities could be improved. The toilet space is quite small, and for someone with a larger build, it can be uncomfortable to use. The shower is also separate and not heated, which makes it cold, especially in colder seasons. The tile flooring in the shower is particularly chilly – perhaps a simple rubber mat could help keep guests’ feet warm. Also, consider improving the temperature or insulation in the shared facilities during colder months.
It’s good breakfast. Friendly staffs. Good location. Clean but the toilet and the shower rooms are so small.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel’s location was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. When I arrived, the housekeeping staff were cleaning, and it was cleaned again in the morning. I didn’t encounter any problems during my stay.
Good position, good breakfast, nice staff
Just a lot of noises during night and morning, uncomfortable for sleeping.
Great breakfast. Overall clean
Some hair in the beds.
Breakfast was under avarage, not so good quality. Not worth paying for it.
Our stay at this hotel was a complete nightmare from the very beginning. We were placed on the top floor of the back building, accessible only via extremely steep and narrow stairs. It was exhausting to carry our luggage up there—my friend even broke her nail painfully in the process. The toilets were in unacceptable condition—they were dirty, and the trash bins were overflowing. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and the bunk bed was dangerously unstable. My friend had to sleep on the top bunk, literally praying it wouldn’t collapse. But the worst part of our stay was THEFT. My friend accidentally left her AirPods on her bed. When we realized and checked the Find My app, we saw they were still in the hotel. We rushed back around 4 PM, only to see the AirPods were suddenly moving... and playing music in a park across the river. The new guests in our room were very kind and had no idea. The only remaining person with access was the cleaning staff. The man at the reception was extremely helpful—he called and messaged the cleaner multiple times and kept us informed. Meanwhile, we went to the police and filed a report—thankfully, since my friend is a Dutch resident, they took it seriously.Eventually, the AirPods were returned—but not without costing us a whole afternoon. The cleaner who returned them (a young black man) shamelessly walked in, slapped the receptionist on the shoulder, and left as if nothing had happened. I’ve never witnessed anything like this in my life.I sincerely hope the hotel took proper action. However, judging by how casual and friendly he still seemed with the staff, we doubt anything has changed. I guess he assumed we were tourists and wouldn't bother pursuing it.Needless to say, I will never step foot near this place again. If you still insist on staying here, NEVER leave your belongings in the room unless you don’t care about seeing them again.
