Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam

The location was beyond excellent and the bathroom/shower were awesome.

The beds were a bit soft for my personal preference and the amenities and prices were quite high but understandable for a 5 star hotel. I also didn't know I'd be paying extra city fees in addition to the original payment.

Staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The location is ideal ¿ easy access to train station, tram station, and bus station. Tons of food options.

Staff was amazing, they made you feel like family. The breakfast each morning was a fabulous way to start the day. The room was perfect, fairly large, well cleaned with a very nice view of the canal. Would love to stay here again!

Stayed for 6 nights and asked for an upgrade and they were not able to accommodate. Disappointed they could not find something given the amount of days we were spending in their hotel.

The look of the hotel is gorgeous; the decorations for Christmas were lovely. The rooms are perfect and clean and very comfortable beds.

We were not told about all of the amenities at check in so didn't really know all the hotel had to offer. We wanted to go to the pool but when we stopped by we were told it was under maintenance for the weekend.

The absolute best service I have received by the entire staff. From the doorman to receptionist to the concierge all AAA. I was truly impressed and they exceeded expectations. The hotel can be truly proud of all its staff.

Friendliness of the staff. They did so much to make our stay one of the best ever.

Facilities were below expectations,no bar to relax also they advised that there were 2 restaurants however 1 was closed in the weekday only at weekends. Breakfast was 1 option only it was a buffet breakfast for 55 euros. If you only wanted a small breakfast ie an egg with tea or toast it was 55 euros. It would have been better if they offered an menu where you could order individually.

This is our fifth stay at Grand Sofitel. We always come to this hotel and have a great time. However, there are a few issues that need immediate attention:1. Shower glass is getting old and water is invariably leaking out to fill the bathtub.2. Terrible spa facility with broken jacuzzi, water jets in pool and lack of any attendant.3. Despite a clear sign that kids can’t come to the pool after 6 pm. The pool is often filled with kids playing and shouting and splashing which is VERY disturbing. Despite alerting the front desk staff, NOTHING was done!4. OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive for the value you get in return.These things have to be fixed ASAP

I loved absolutely everything. I loved the beautiful hotel, the gorgeous room, the super comfortable bed, the view of the canal, how quiet it was, the delicious food, great cocktails, exceptional service… The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating or hospitable. The location was absolutely perfect. It could not have been a better location. And I would give the hotel five stars all day long!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nothing is this coffe shop. We have to run away waitress.the restaurant have bad nénuphar options .and room services after 22h is just uggly choice . The food is horrible not at the level of 5 stars

deception of tourists

We checked into the hotel with a small dog (a toy poodle). Upon check-in, we were charged 500 euros, saying we would be refunded. Upon check-out, we were told the 500 euros would be for the dog. We ended up leaving because we were late for our flight. Later, I found out the price was not 100 euros per night, but 75 euros. I called the hotel and accused them of fraud. They promised to refund me 125 euros, but they never came. The room was poorly cleaned, it was also noisy at night, and they cleaned the neighboring room and vacuumed the floor at midnight!!!! A terrible hotel with staff that wants to cheat. I hope the 500 euros made you happy. I can pay you another 500 euros to never deal with you again. Scammers, be careful, citizens.
