- Very charming boutique hotel with wonderful staff.
- Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location in central Amsterdam
- We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel 717. It’s a small, intimate hotel, but everything about it is done with so much care and quality. The interiors are beautiful and well thought out, giving the place a very calm and welcoming feel. The staff were amazing from start to finish, very friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. A special mention to Ada, who was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The food was excellent, fresh, and satisfying, and the location is perfect, close to everything yet peaceful enough to relax as a family. Most importantly, it was a great place for us as a family. My kids and my husband truly enjoyed the stay, and we all felt comfortable and well taken care of.Hotel 717 may be small, but the experience, service, and quality make it truly special. We would gladly stay here again.
Cons -
- The location is amazing—right is the heart of the city.
- Only issue was that rooms facing the street get a lot of street noise at night. Loud and drunk people until 2 am.

Absolutely nothing.
Cool historical house that has been turned into a hotel. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. we stayed on Christmas day, and there was a live tree in our room and when we came back after dinner they had put a fire/Christmas video on the TV which was so festive! Linens and bathroom were excellent. We had a canal view, but facing the street was noisy at night. The location is close to many attractions and restaurants. We would stay here again!
If you need an elevator there is none- stairs are narrow and steep
Impeccable service amd the room was charming with high ceilings. Loved the TV that came out of a console over the bed.
Beautiful, centrally located hotel with a small, but lovely room, and a fabulous place for breakfast and drinks. This was a return trip to Amsterdam so we were familiar with the neighborhood. Would absolutely stay there again. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Perhaps some plumper pillows, but this is not a showstopper.
Everything was perfect. The building was beautiful, and every single staff member was absolutely charming, helpful, and kind. They really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The location is also very nice and convenient to walk to most places
There was nothing negative
Great location, lovely staff, nice tradition looking room
Room location was at street level so unless the curtains were drawn people could look in and also by the main entrance which was noisy with people entering the property
The location is nice. The architecture is nice. And the design of the hotel is nice.
I experienced the worst night in a hotel in my life. My room was sharing a (very thin) wall with the Men WC of the bar&restaurant. I heard all evening all the noise you can imagine. That was HORRIFIC. And it started again at breakfast. I just had to change hotel the next day. I couldn't stay there and live another day like that.
Loved the location… quiet and away from touristy spots yet close to a lot of places to eat and walk to museums. Room was comfortable and updated. LOVED the shower!! Staff was very helpful and friendly!
Nothing. Everything was great!
the staff was amazingly helpful
location was amazing and rooms were specious
The room was great in a charming Dutch home. The canal view was fabulous! The front of house staff really made me feel welcome and right at home. All of them were great. The downstairs room for coffee was lovely too.
Character, room comfort, staff, breakfast.
Very small room (no desk/chair), stairs are like ladders (staff carries luggage which helps).
Location is a 10. Room was beautiful. Well appointed. Terrific view. Staff very friendly.
Room #1 was right off entry and was super loud at times. You could hear every guest come and go. Also, was surprised to get charged for our daily lattes, we paid $3000 for four nights, I’d think coffee would be included. (Room had coffee with powdered milk). Last issue, we left one day for 4/5 hours and put “service room” on door. When we returned no service. Another night we came back and bed was made but morning coffee cups were still there and wet towels still on bathroom floor.
Perfect location and absolutely beautiful. The old charm with modern features and helpful and attentive staff.
No issues at all
Quiet room in the center of Amsterdam. Nice decoration and very functional.
The staff does not know how to do a bed…very basic cleaning and turnaround
Everything was clean, updated and felt very luxurious overall. The decor was timeless. The bathtub was exactly what I needed after walking around exploring the city all day.
