Beautiful achitectural details, great friendly helpful staff, great room.

Absolutely not!

Great stay at the intercontinental Amstel in Amsterdam. The entire team was super attentive to our stay. at the front desk. We will be back.

The staff were attentive, friendly, polite and they went beyond expectations.

Room service was pricey and the portions were too small. ?31 for a cheese plate - 5 pieces of chees with 4 cut pieces of bread and a small portion of chutney. That is absurd for ?31.

It's history and architecture.

Staff not helpful and very few people working esp. night time.

the breakfast was great, the staff was extremely friendly, attentive and pleasant. Every single staff member I encountered was kind and smiling and eager to help.

location is a bit tricky to get to downtown tourist areas for site seeing.

Beautiful hotel, great personalized checkin/out service. Hotel pool and jacuzzi looked out to Amstel water, great view in restaurant at breakfast on to the Amstel. Service was fantastic, concierge super helpful with any questions or request, a must stay

Everything was nice, especially the concierge that helped me try book restaurants for Valentine’s Day and also told us about places we can visit! Even the cleaning ladies were very sweet and the room service employee was Romanian and it was really nice to have someone talk my language there. Overall 10/10 I recommend!

Gorgeous hotel on the canal. Staff was excellent all around Incredibly warm, helpful and knowledgeable. The spa and pool was also fantastic.

The rooms are older and bathrooms need to be updated. Would suggest offering a classic European buffet breakfast instead of just a la carte

Beautiful, iconic riverside location. The service was a highlight, the team is incredibly friendly and attentive. The excellent a la carte breakfast was a highlight of our stay.

The property is showing its age; a full renovation is needed to restore the common areas to their former glory.

Interior design old building well maintained and breakfast was fantastic.

The hotel is grand and high value. It felt like a palace. People in and out were dressed quite formal. The room was clean and tidy. Very nice service. We felt that the hotel is more suit for holding weddings, or some other leisure.

The hotel itself is pretty good. It’s very beautiful. It’s kind of like old style. There are a few problems that our beds were a bit wet and that there is no Internet in there and it’s hard to get because usually like hotels actually have Internet like their own, so everything was very good. The room is very clean. The price is pretty good. I mean it’s just you know it matches the price and the so everything was perfect. We enjoyed the stay

Overpriced. Inconsistent cleaning and turn down service. Not as spotless as you’d hope.

Jets in jacuzzi worked in a haphazard way, air conditioning in room did not work, mould in the shower, decrepit windows, chipped furniture, clioset door didn't stay open, leaking tap in bathroom, bar closed early

Breakfast was beautiful and the Riverview from my room was beautiful as well

It was a really nice place. I thought slightly overpriced but it was a nice experience staff with perfect. X
