Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Beautiful location, rather quiet and a very nice terrace.

22.50€ is definitely overpriced for the mediocre breakfast

My husband needs distilled water for his CPAP machine and not only did the staff at this hotel know what it is, they had a bottle there we could purchase!

I wish the hotel was closer to a metro or tram stop.

I liked the location, being in a quieter area just outside of downtown, but still within walking distance of several major attractions. I also liked that they have bikes available to rent right at the hotel (which we took advantage of).

Some construction was going on, and there were also some loud people partying on our floor very late at night.

Beautiful interior outside of the actual rooms.

On our honeymoon we were given 2 twin beds and told the room was an upgrade. We were supposed to have a city view and got a view of the gas station. We also got charged for smoking in a hotel that smelled completely of pot when our room was never entered.

The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. Close enough to a cool neighborhood in town.

No breakfast included in our reservation, though we thought it would be.

The staff were very helpful with directions and other tourist information. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Not terribly convenient to the tram system in Amsterdam

Location was good, easy to get into central Amsterdam

One reason we booked this hotel was that it had an airport shuttle, but turned out there were very few, none that matched our late morning arrival. Staff was good about giving directions for public transit, except the tram stop given was not in service.

The shuttle bus did not show up at 9:00am at the Airport on 11th Aug16.

The rooms were very nice. All of the staff but one night time clerk were very friendly. Apparently there were 2 bars and we thought it was odd that it closed so early. 2 nights into our stay we discovered the second bar. That was nice.

The location to public transportation was longer than I anticipated. Thankfully the weather was nice, but if it had been raining it would have been a bummer.

very nice hotel, beautiful room, wit modern and high-quality furniture, great bed. My room was in the basement, but with a cool ladder (!) I could climb to a small landing, overlooking the Apollo canal - was neat!

The hotel is a little far from the city center.

Had some problems with the heating. It was a little bit farther from the city centre, but convenient due to trams.

Double rooms are large by Amsterdam standards and renovated rooms are nice and modern. Staff are very helpful .

Location is ideal if looking for someplace quiet and away from the noise and hustle of the center. Tram is about a 10 min walk from the hotel and the ride to the center takes about 15 min.

The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. We have no complaints.

The location wasn't bad, but it is a bit of a hike to get to the inner areas like the Anne Frank house. The trek to the museum district was very easy, but the rest of it was beyond that. Otherwise, a perfectly acceptable four star hotel.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, with a beautiful view of the sunrise over the canals. It's just a short, safe walk to the nearest tram station, which will take you right into the heart of the city.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a late flight after check out and they offered us to use the gym shower facilities and towels before the flight.

Super friendly staff. Knowledgeable and helpful and really lovely. So nice to have a beer right on the water of an evening. It seems a bit far from everything but it's only a fifteen minute walk from the museums and it's really nice being someplace quiet.

nothing. The air conditioning isn't as strong as we Americans are used to, but that's the case with all hotels in Amsterdam.
