Tiny place expensive parking

The location was a little out of the way but great for getting to the airport and had good transport links to Amsterdam.The hotel felt very secure and was drug free

In any case, guests arriving on foot or by public transport (tram 17) should be suggested how to get to the hotel on foot from the Materhorn station (end station of tram 17) via the network of cycle paths and not where Google takes them as pedestrians... (this is an extremely uncomfortable way and prolongs the sealing by approx. 20 minutes)

Close to tram to centre and most places. Reception Staff( Retane) was friendly and quite emphatic cos I lost my phone in the train. * not sure I got her name right.Environment was calm and sereneBreakfast was worth the value of money

WiFi and TV didn't work first 2 days. WiFi was fixed on the last day.Room service didn't put in fresh bed sheet the first morning until I had to specifically ask the second morning.

they take 100€ deposit, claim they release after checkout but my money is still not returned

had to stay only because of a missed flight since it is kinda close to airport. room had a weird smell. it was very small and not comfortable. But these are not real problems as i was not expecting much. The problem is that they take 100€ deposit for no reason at all. There is no minibar or anything valuable in the room so taking this deposit is a real problem because they did not give it back still. google reviews are also really bad showing that they have problems in releasing back the deposits. when approached, they give copy paste answers. So i suggest staying at other hotels if possible

Misleading advertising..

I chose Fogo hotel for it's location near Schiphol - the info had boasted tram and bus connection nearby.As it turned out none of these connected directly to Schiphol and the only option was an expensive taxi ride. Misleading advertizing!!

To have the coffee machine in the room

No telephone in the room to communicate with recetion.Pillows uncomfortablePrice is very hight. 280 Euro per night is too much for such a small room.Away from Amsterdam.

The breakfast was fine and the staff very friendly and efficient. Also, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. However..... I can't honestly say I'll ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was shockingly small. We had booked a room for 3 which was in fact a room for two in which they'd removed the closet and added a single bed. So no place to put your clothes, no desk, no place to put your suitcases and the bathroom was so small there was no place to put one's things when you went for a shower. Also, no toiletries in the bathroom. And all this for 370€/night... It's a disgrace. Also, it was noisier than when we were in the centre of Amsterdam. It's about 30 minutes away by car from the town centre and on some kind of highway so you can hear lots of cars. If the room had cost a third of the price, I wouldn't have complained. But for 370€ this was a rip off.

I like the fact there was no smoking. Staff at front desk seemed nice.

Fairly straight forward to find but entrance is not obvious. The room was a lot smaller than pictures showed. Floors were not cleaned as felt very gritty. Toilet/shower was tiny with no where to put anything! No floor Matt for shower. The room was freezing cold, radiator didn’t work. Also, the safe didn’t work as apparently the person who supplies them haven’t given the hotel something? I can’t remember what.

The staff at Hotel Fogo could not of been more helpful. Room was comfortable with a great view. Air con in the room was very much needed. Worth mentioning again, the staff there are awsome

I do not like to complain about Hotel Fogo as it was such a nice friendly place. But…… The breakfast was cold (sorry ?).

handy next to the MCDonals from schiphhol with public transportatio little bit difficult if you have difficultie with walking, hitel is excelent personel very friendly and helpfull. they have all kind of vending machined and a nice restaurant.

The receptionist was extremely friendly.

The towels were "dirty" with hair, and the toilet was dirty. The pillows on the bed were very dusty, which is complicated for those with allergic rhinitis. And it was very noisy, you could hear everything from the other rooms and also from the hallway.

the staff is not good... the first night I paid for the room and everything was ok, the second night they asked me for a €100 cash deposit for some reason…the irony was that they tried to steal my cash deposit...the staff wanted to convince me that I didn't even pay the cash deposit…at my insistence, they "found" my cash deposit in the end…the staff made an excuse that a colleague made a mistake, although my personal opinion is that they are doing it deliberately…they embarrassed me in front of many guests and I felt very ugly and my honor was hurt…the behavior of the workers at the reception was unprofessional, arrogant, without a trace of shame…they talked and agreed what to do in Italian, and that was very rude of me as a client, not knowing that I understand everything and that Italian is my mother tongue…it was an unpleasant experience and I will definitely never visit this hotel again
