Pros +
- Interesting fare at the fancy onsite restaurant though on the expensive side.
- Gorgeous, hip, new hotel in great area with tons of restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms were big and clean, mine had a great view of the rooftops of other buildings and was quite quaint. The sushi restaurant at the bottom floor is really fun and bustling.
- The shower was amazing, even though the overall bathroom setup was odd and cramped. The location was also excellent very close to museums and a subway line
Cons -
- The staff were unhelpful, not accustomed to providing the level of customer service I expect from a hotel of this caliber and cost. The lobby where I spent almost six hours waiting for my room was dirty. The online information on amenities was inaccurate.
- Smoke alarm went off in room for no reason and the air conditioning made a lot of cracking weird noises. Room may have been haunted to be honest but other than that loved the hotel.
- The layout of the room was not very functional.

Location and stff
Sink area had little room for toiletries
New and modern hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff. Excellent location.
Rooms are too small for my taste.
This is without question the best service I have seen in over 40 years of travel. The hotel is in a great location, is in perfect condition and the staff are incredible in their efforts to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable
Excellent spacious roomWonderful staffGreat amenities Excellent location
Centrally located - close to seeing sights and very close to the metro. But a serene neighborhood with many eating options. Very modern but relaxed. Exceptional staff!
Lobby is a little small.
Nice and clean , friendly staff
The sink inside the room
Great location near Albert Cuyp Market. Lots of restaurants nearby. Walkable to the central district and tourist areas as well as transit options. The room was very comfortable.
Sir Albert is a hotel I will always go back to. Always feel at home staying here. Rooms are great, beds are comfy and staff are amazing.
Can’t fault anything :)
Great location - walking distance to Albert Cuypmarket. Canal view room. The SHOWER WAS AMAZING!
Rooms are rather small considering the money value that the rooms come at.
Nina was absolutely superb with helping us after we were fraudulently scammed with entrance tickets to the Anne Frank House . Our room was lovely with everything we needed and a lovely relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Othing
The rooms are clean, nice beds and very quiet. Great location.
Rooms are a bit small. No mini-fridge
No problem with the hotel… the hotel had an issue with my insence stick in the room (I use it to meditate) and the front desk told me it was prohibited because of fire hazard but I never left the flame burning i always use water to douse the stick before leaving but just so you know… also (and this has NOTHING to do with the hotel but with BOOKING) please be advised that offers can change on a “booking whim”.. I purchased the hotel because it included a to and from taxi service to the airport (free shuttle service if reservation was higher than 400€ and no more than 3 passengers ) and after the purchase this shuttle service was denied because my reservation was above 800€ and we were 2 passengers…. We contacted booking and we are still waiting on a response….
The hotel is quite well located, with public transport stops not too far away. - My room, No. 112, is modernly furnished. It has a coffee machine. The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are pleasant, and so is the duvet. - The bathroom is well equipped, though towel holders are missing.
The air conditioning was extremely disruptive. - On the first night, it was noisy and set to an uncomfortably low temperature. - The next day, I complained, and I was informed that it could only be adjusted centrally. - In the evening, it was then noisy and set to 27°C. The night staff couldn't properly adjust it. I slept exceptionally poorly that night. - The following day, the air conditioning was turned off, but the ventilation remained bothersome. - Due to the poor sleep, I was not well-prepared for the conference I attended. - I cannot recommend Room No. 112. - The staff left a card with two smiley faces and apologized, but in such a case, I would expect monetary compensation. - Although the hotel curtains do block out light, they are not attached to the walls at the edges, so proper darkening is not possible.
Requested quiet double room and offerred noisy room above bar. Was offered different room wth single beds. They had 3 months notice but as we were a late check in we just got the dross that was left. Do better as you charge the earth for a room!
room was pretty comfortable, good shower.
The room was a bit dirty and we got 1st floor so wasn't ideal in terms of opening the curtains.
Location. Modern.
Heating : ventilation system super noisy and either freezing cold or boiling hot.
Location, design concept and staff
Single lift always in use so most guests have to use the steps
