    Pros +

    • Clean, decent breakfast, spacious room
    • Architecture, Staff
    • The location is convenient for work-related stays

    Cons -

    • Shower small and unpractical, horrible location for vacationer, cheap feeling but expensive, fire alarm malfunction that caused us to evacuate 6am in morning
    • Location, shower in middle of room is matter of taste
    • The staff were unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome at all. They appeared unwilling to help and lacked basic hospitality. Even simple requests, such as changing from a single bed to a double bed, took an entire day to address — despite the hotel being almost empty.Staff members were unable or unwilling to answer basic questions and gave the impression that they were doing their job without any interest or engagement. There seemed to be poor coordination across the team, with no improvement compared to previous stays. This was unfortunately a very bad experience, especially as it was not the first time. I have stayed here multiple times for work, hoping service would improve, but it remains consistently disappointing

    Clean, functional

The bedrooms would be a target of the “bringbackdoors”.Good to visit alone or with a partner, but a glass shower at the end of the bed probably would not suit others.

The way they treat me...The staff. And...I wanted to open the windows in my room. Bit it's not possible. Bit of claustrofobisch...

Location, staff and facility were all good.

Breakfast should be included in the price.

Breakfast was good. The location worked out. Uber was quick for pickup. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

    More food options for breakfast.

Unique building, cool rooftop bar, nice rooms.

Location is about an hour away from the city center. It’s not actually a bad trip if you plan to spend your day in the city center, you only have to make the trip once. I wouldn’t recommend the location if you would need to go back and forth though.

I like the building itself, how comfortable the bed was and the how romantic the room looks with the shower transparent and in the middle of the room

You can't charge your phone when you off the lights and at least the bed lamps should be able to use for since some of us can't sleep in the dark

We had amazing views with a room on the 11th floor! Bed was very comfortable.

I really loved the view from the hotel, and how comfortable the room was. Enjoyed my breakfast and dinner at top floor; that was also beautiful. All in all, a very convenient and cozy hotel.

The pillow was a bit too high for my personal preference. Also, it looked like there was some water damage below the sink. The hotel is more difficult to reach on foot, with limited footpath available.

Rooms were ok. Looking stylisch but a bit unpractical

Girl at the reception was rude and very arrogant. We were are greated at entrance with: please go sit there and wait, i have no time for you, as i have other things to do. That surely ruins the mood! Especially if the same girl is showing no intentions at all to help us and check us in, and uses her time to enjoy herself.

I liked everything about The Fletcher, architecture, comfort, staff.

Too far out from Amsterdam central.

I liked the infrastructure of the property , it is quite to cool to look at.

I don’t like that the shower is right in the middle of the room - with a window directly opposite - feels a little bit strange.

    Excellent location and service

The shower is in the middle of the room, although excellent design sometimes it could stink, since it does not have separate ventilation to get the mist/humidity outside of the room

    10JoachimPosted on: 10-21-2025

Room design, size of room, parking

Location is a bit far without a car

    6YelePosted on: 10-21-2025

The shape of the hotel and the shower in the room

The property is far from the city so commute to the city for tourist attractions has been costly to pay 30-40 Euros each time so daily 80 euros . It will be good for someone who has a car or to a car hire will be better option.

Fletcher Hotel was absolutely amazing in every way. I’m so glad I ignored the mixed reviews about its distance from the city centre and decided to go for it anyway. Honestly, if you’re not driving or have no means of getting around, staying here might be a bit tricky — unless, of course, you enjoy walking like I do. The train station is about a 19-minute walk away, making it easy to reach other parts of the city, and there’s also a bus stop just six minutes from the hotel that connects to the airport (you’ll need to take two buses).Conveniently, there’s a KFC and a Burger King right by the hotel, which is perfect if you ever crave a quick bite. Now, onto the hotel itself — the experience was outstanding. The staff were warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady at reception who surprised my husband and me with complimentary drinks to celebrate our honeymoon. Joan at the bar also deserves a special mention; he was simply amazing and made us feel right at home. The room design was stunning, especially the shower positioned in the middle such a unique and luxurious touch! Every time we needed something or had a request, the support team responded immediately and with genuine kindness. The food was great too, offering a good variety and quality. My absolute favourite spot, though, was the rooftop. I loved sitting there with a cup of tea, taking in the view, and just relaxing, the perfect way to unwind.I had only 2 issues - 1, no rails to hang towels and 2. They did not do the decoration I requested for my husband’s birthday well. I was left disappointed to be honest and regretted parting with the amount I paid. All in all, Fletcher Hotel exceeded my expectations in other ways.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend. The positive sides to the hotel: the interior is beautiful, the room was excellent and clean, and a shower in the middle of it is a delight. And of course the location is close to the Amsterdam city centre. With an Uber or your own car, you can shoot in and out very easily. We went to a concert at night and spared ourselves the parking costs inside the city, which are considerable. We also visited the Frida Kahlo exposition.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Fletcher Hotel gave us the feel of an episode from Fawlty Towers, but without the fun of having John Cleese around. This beautiful tower, alongside the A2 highway, deserves much more TLC. To us, it felt too much of a gimmick that is done without a soul and therefore attracts a crowd you may not want to be around. The strong smell of marihuana is almost palpable everywhere you go inside this hotel. But okay. We ordered the birthday package,, since we were there for that reason, and that was well worth it. For 15 euros, you get a printout of a congratulations from the hotel staff (full colour!), and no less than 12 fully blown up balloons. Crazy! We loved it! And the breakfast, the most important meal of the day, but all we found were empty trays. Felt like we were staying over for Easter; all guests on an egg hunt. It would be funny if we did not feel so sorry for the helpless staff. Amateur hour at the Fletcher. We waited for 40 minutes even though we did not want to, but close to 40 euro for a slice of krentenbrood that we can get at Albert Heijn every day was a bit over the top. I would like to end this review with a paraphrasing of one of Frida Kahlo's famous quotes: the exit out of Fletcher was joyful and I hope never to return.
