Hotel Prinsenhof Amsterdam

it is walking distance from Central Station (about 3km). It is quiet and comfortable and the staff seemed to bend backwards to help us.

On a stormy wet day, there would not be much this hotel can offer, except you are 100 metres from the nearest pub.

Simple, clean, comfortable. Helpful staff (though we were not there long enough to take advantage of that helpfulness). Steep stairs. Old-fashioned feel, but in a good way.

Location central yet away from the crowds. Property overlooks a canal if views matter to you.

It seems most of the units are bunk beds.

Staff was super friendly helped me with luggage and let us stay in the reception till 2 pm we were waiting for our train, I will repeat for sure

This hotel is amazing and very clean and organized and we loved it so much …and the receptionist was so friendly and helped us so much …location is perfect and our family room is so comfortable Couldn’t ask for more

Staff was helpful, accomadating and the room was clean, comfortable. Hotel was in a ideal location by the canals, many choices for shopping within walking distance.

Staff was very attentive and helpful.

The heating system didn‘t work properly, staff continuously tried to fix it but when unable to refunded us a small bit of our money.

Location is excellent. Second time I have stayed here. Very cozy place with lots of old Amsterdam charm. Coffee and croissants in the morning were so nice!!

Stairs! No staff for late check-in. Had to put heavy luggage in the unlocked luggage room. No coffee in room.

Spacious room with nice view of the canal. Clear instructions how to get access to our room. Great location to walk to where we wanted to go.

The stairs are very steep and narrow which even though the hotel was very clear with doesn't quite prepare you for HOW steep it is! We managed as we had very little luggage.

Breakfast is no longer offered and we really missed it.

In a good location (near bars and restaurants), good connection and the museums and the centre is 10-15 minutes away if taking public transportation. Nice room with facilities and smart TV.

To me, it’s not a problem but since there are no elevators and the stairs are really steep (like other properties in Netherlands), might be best for you not to bring a huge luggage!

Very hard to stay with heavy luggage, best for light travelers. One could hope for a longer schedule of hotel staff.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We’ve always loved the location-very convenient to most places.

The stairs! We were on the very top floor. They do offer help with your luggage though. Also, we miss the bigger breakfast we used to have there. They do still serve coffee, croissants and fruit.

The location was lovely. Just on a canal, close to underground and walking distance of many places of interest. The room was perfectly adequate if a little dated for the price. Coffee machine was most welcome. Leaving bags before leaving was massive help. Briefly saw a member of staff when leaving. They were very friendly.

Arrived late at night and walked back and forth past the property as street is not well lit. Hotel sign is not lit. Lots of fumbling with phone etc and skipping back through emails for the challenge of locating key.

Great location, super clean. Very tight bathroom but otherwise very comfortable. Stairs are very steep.

Steep steps no elevator we also paid extra for breakfast and when we got there, they said they aren’t doing it any longer. so I had to go purchase breakfast somewhere else.

As the property is historical Dutch canal building the floor makes sounds with every movement so are the beds with every turn during the night - it’s difficult to go up with the luggage in the very steep staircase….The accessibility of the property is limited
