- Comfortable bed, clean, nice smell, great breakfast.

- Hotel Lorende is a jewel in Amsterdam. The staff so welcoming. From the first moment we entered with our bags in tow we were greeted warmly and immediately felt a sense of "bead and breakfast" here! Far more personal & cozy than a large chain hote1.
Cons -
- Nothing to complain
- 1.horrible view off balcony of a "Sanford and Son yard" 2.was told they would meet me at 5;30 AM to order taxi and no one was in office 3. Hotel had poor lighting 4. Road under construction so trolly did not go all the way to town
- Ambience is not much for lobby as resto that is quiet. A lounge after checking out would be perfect.

Hotel employee was so welcoming and accommodating. She even addressed customers waiting to check in so they felt taken care of. I was given a great room facing the back so it was peaceful and a great rest. Breakfast is also delicious - real orange juice.

Bad
When I checked into a room on the second floor of the hotel, there was a strong smell of paint, to which I am severely allergic. There was no information anywhere that the hotel had recently undergone cosmetic repairs. I informed the staff member about my allergies, and he offered to show me two other rooms on the same floor, which had the same strong smell. The smell was throughout the entire floor and in the corridor. The staff member then said that the hotel would cancel everything and refund the full cost. I had to leave and spend two hours on the road feeling unwell. I did not receive any information about the cancellation, so I wrote to the hotel myself and asked why. They replied that they could not do this, that I had to do it myself. I then replied that the hotel employee had told me otherwise. I then received a reply from this employee, who wrote that I had spent more than an hour in the room and the hotel would not refund my money. But it's difficult to spend an hour in a room where it's hard to breathe. Further messaging yielded no results. Be careful! At this hotel, guest safety is the last priority.
Nice staff, smooth check in, good location, good breakfast.
The double room was a little small if it was fit 2 people, but it is manageable!
We loved the location of the property. On the whole, staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond for us. We’d definitely stay again. The location was perfect for us. Just out of the main hustle but close enough to walk to attractions, restaurants and coffee shops. Great transport links also close by. Beautiful view of the street from our balcony (see pics)
The pillows were so hard!! I kept forgetting to request a new one though so it’s my own fault. We purposely booked a room with a balcony, but only one person could be out there at a time as it was tiny. (See pics)
Location and the manager was friendly.
The bed was not good.
Very friendly staff and good hotel location
Very small room, very basic amenities
The staff there are very friendly and very accommodating. The location is great - I felt like I was a local rather than a tourist. On my next trip to Amsterdam I will be staying here again.
clean, quiet, very nice people
nothing really
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great!
Everything is great except for the extremely hard beds and very cheap pillows.
Good location which is why we chose it.
Room was tiny, not even a place to sit. Breakfast was basically adequate at best. We were allowed to check in early but took a room that didn’t have a jacuzzi and when I Tried to ask, in a follow up email, why the rate was the same, we got no answer, just a rather nasty “we let you check in early what did you expect.”
Its location: it’s on the main road very close to the tram which makes it PERFECT
Breakfast was Okay
Good location, super clean, friendly staff, perfect wifi, so we had a great stay. Try Cafe Thuys at the corner :)
We went for ADE so the price was a bit higher for this time.
Great location, not in the very touristy centre, but close enough to explore without difficulty. Very clean hotel, and helpful staff.
The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was in a very lively neighborhood with different grocery stores and restaurants. It was very near the tram line which made it easy to get to.
The room was a bit small.
Breakfast was excellent, service was great and staff accommodating.
Very friendly and helpful staff, they even gave me a free upgrade :)The room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was great. I especially loved the croissants, they were so flaky and buttery. The location is perfect. The streets were not crowded, not much noise from the outside, and really easy to get to the city center either by tram or by foot.
The walls were a bit thin, I could sometimes hear what my neighbors were doing, but it's really easy to ignore.
Breakfast was ok. Mini-buffet. Toast options, brown, white, buns and crossaints. Two juices and water. Two cereals, cornflakes and musli.Teas and coffees delivered to table. Sliced cold tomato and cucumber, along with some slices of cold meats and cheese completed the breakfast choices. The room and shower room had radiators which were very hot. This was good for the room temperature and also for drying any wet towels. Kettle and cups and tea/coffee sachets supplied on request. Good sized TV with Netflick option. Lift immediately outside door. Staff very pleasant and helpful
Eggs seems to be fried and then chopped up. Not very hot from toureen! Scrambled would have been a better option. Dining tables quite small. Shower head could not be adjusted to point straight downwards. Was constantly at an angle. Had to hold it in place to direct stream.
