Hotel Oscar

The room was well appointed and very clean. The location is great and the staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed on the top floor, which did not have an elevator to it. My mother is elderly with reduced mobility and that flight of stairs was very difficult for her. It would have been helpful to know that in advance, so we could make other arrangements.

The room was amazing and the view was beautiful

Even staying in the front of the hotel you can hear the music from the night club behind. It really didn’t bother us that much but the walls were definitely vibrating.

The hotel was lovely and clean, the beds were comfy and the location of the hotel was amazing! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The addition of the coffee machine downstairs was great for us!

The only downside was the music through the night from the nearby night club, but this didn’t impact our stay too much!

It is pretty close to the city center and all the tourist attractions. The stuff is very helpful, they even gave us 2 keycards and they kept our luggage for a few hours on our last day, before we left to the airport. The have free coffee and free tea in the room and in the lobby of the hotel.

The only “issue” was the A/C. When we arrived was very cold in the room and it took some time to heat the room.

The hotel is 2 doors away from a basement nightclub that goes on until 4am and the base of the music kept me awake most of the night.

Everything was as described. Clean, modern, and in a great location.

We didn't sleep well at all, we could hear loud thumping music all through the night into the morning which meant we slept very badly. Such a shame as everything else about the hotel was great.

Lovely room & a perfect location in the city!

I loved the property - nothing to complain about! I did see reviews for people saying they heard loud music - we did have a canal view room & never heard anything.

Staff were lovely! Rooms were tidy and clean and they gave me a bottle of Prosecco as a little bday treat. Bit noisy at night but perfect location for tourists!

Hear club music inside hotel

The location was very convenient.

The description described sound proof walls. The walls were not sound proof. The building shares a wall with a night club. Between the noise and vibrations from the bass, it was very difficult to sleep. The elevator in the property is also very noisy. It is not an ideal location if you are traveling for work.

The location is very good, only a few doors away from Mulligans bar, and round the corner from Rembrandt Square.

Not really the hotels fault, but behind it is a night club that opens at 11PM and goes on until 4AM, 5AM at weekends. All you can hear in the room is the bass thud. So unless you are blind drunk or asleep before 11 you'll probably stay awake unit the club closes.

Location was walking distance to everything

Online said views and private parking. Our room had no window and was incredibly hot. Parking was no where near and we had to pay a service to park the car and return it.

It was really clean and staff were welcoming.

Only issue was loud music from 12 til 2am ish I think there may have been a bar next to the hotel. I slept through the noise however it did wake my partner.

Great central location. Lovely and very helpful staff.

Between hours of 1:30am and 4am the hotel seemed to run its washing machine which from our room could be heard and reverberated throughout

I didnt like it the bed has hair and not clean the towels not clean the room very small and people who stay their are annoying and i call the reception @ 10 pm no one their and in the morning @ 9 the coffee machine is closed i dont know why !!! And soup and the shampoo are the same !!!!

The hotel was amazing, perfectly located, and the staff were absolutely lovely, especially the receptionist who handled our check-in and check-out and helped us throughout our stay! He truly made our trip so much more enjoyable and unforgettable. A thousand thanks! We will definitely return to Hotel Oscar for all our future stays in Amsterdam, we’re certain of it!
