    Pros +

    • A lovely hotel.
    • The location was perfect. We could walk to all attractions. The staff were very nice and helpful. Loved the bed and all it held!
    • The breakfast was amazing. Those little Dutch pancakes with the side of sprinkles, lemon curds, were delicious.

    Cons -

    • We were charged for an item from the mini bar which we did not have. We contacted the hotel to let them know but no refund has been issued.
    • The room was very cramped due to some of the decor/furniture. We also believe it was overpriced. The hotel and the beverages (€4 for a very small can of coke)
    • The room on the ground floor is small and very noisy in the early morning. the rooms on the higher levels, although more expensive are much bigger.

Central hotel in a great location. Staff were nice to check in with, but didn't really hear much from them after we checked in. The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom facilities are lovely.

Sound proofing, lighting isn't the best in the bathroom, it's also smaller than it appears in photos.

I read carefully the booklet and was deeply impressed. You can feel the talent of the designer or the owner who draws inspiration from history and culture, and integrates them into every tiny detail of the room setting, which couldn't be achieved without passion, belief, and deep love for design as well as for the country. The hotel creates a medium for us travellers to experience and feel the old days, follwing people who existed. Nice ideal! So unique and special, let alone the wonderful service.

    Light can be brighter.

Great breakfast, really loved the room themes and hearing about history of the building when I arrived. There was a mistake with the tax (which I hadn’t even realised), and they noticed and solved it straight away without any fuss (along with a very nice apology note). So, wonderful service and thank you again for such an enjoyable stay!

The mural in the room was a little graphic to sleep under, but nothing that deterred me from coming back.

Quirky individual rooms, really comfortable, lovely breakfasts in bed, staff very helpful. Nice area, central.

4 flights of stairs and no lift! Rooms lovely but very limited storage for clothes and dimly lit.

I liked the historical building. I liked the unique furnishings in the room, like microscopes turned into lighting fixtures and the antique bathroom fixtures. I liked the humorous painting of Antoni Leeuvenhoek on the ceiling. Breakfast was good.

    There is no elevator.

Everything, a truly special Hotel. The staff, the design, the breakfast, the location.

excellent breakfast, excellent location, staff very helpful. The old building is very special. Lovely welcome drink on arrival.

It was expensive for such a small room. There was only one space outside of the bedroom to go to. It was much smaller and quite airless (glass ceiling) so it wasn't somewhere where I would feel comfortable sitting and relaxing. The bar is just that the serve alcohol at the reception desk rather than an actual place to sit down and enjoy a drink. The hall way & court yard smelt very strongly of air fresher.

The room was beautiful with an amazing view. Comfortable bed and yummy breakfast.

The stairs were very steep but beautiful wood. Very ornate.

Beautiful rooms, designs were really interesting, they put out balloons and a little note as I mentioned it was my birthday which was sweet. Nice spa available for personal use.

I did check in long before the stay as to whether they provided vegan options and they said they did. I was definitely a little disappointed to see the actual options (fruit or yogurt) - not clearly labelled vegan and there was some confusion about whether or not one option was vegan or not (overnight oats). With all the accessible vegan options now it would have been nice to have a kitchen option like avocado on toast or a pastry or pancakes. It was also just a shame that construction work was happening outside the hotel during our stay so there were cones and metal fences and ramps to cross over on entry to the hotel, and at some points the road was actually closed at one end meaning we had to double back on ourselves to get into the hotel.

Incredible stay. Beautiful rooms with high attention to detail. Absolutely worth the cost - wonderful sauna/steam room included in cost. Breakfast brought to our room!! Incredible staff, very helpful and friendly. Smelt good haha.

The hotel was absolutely lovely and the beauty of the property was only surpassed by the friendly and helpful staff. My family and I had a wonderful visit. The staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and went above and beyond, including excellent dining recommendations. We hope to visit them again in the future! I have and will continue to highly recommend Hotel The Nobleman to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

Water pressure in the shower is a little weak

Fantastic, helpful, friendly staff. Each room is dedicated to a historic figure, one staff member explained the room and the history.Beautiful and well equipped bedroom with everything you need.Breakfast daily delivered to our suite was exceptional.

Very beautiful 400 year old building that has no elevator - however staff carried our bags up the many flights of stairs. Requires a €250 non-smoking bond (which was refunded).

Really nice hotel and superb breakfast. Friendly people.

The isolation of the room is not that well.
