    Location is great.

The room had a foul odor, as if a strong cleaning agent had just been used. I reported it to reception, but nothing was done.om

    Breakfast Excellent

Warning I was staying in a room on the ground floor and at night time the room with the fire exit (the breakfast room) is LOCKED !!!!! so you need to go up a narrow wooden staircase to exit the building. This would not pass regulations very worrying, the bedroom also had a grill on it which did not open so no exit there either. I requested they kept the breakfast room open while I stayed which they did. Fire is a real threat in Hotels and I hope they change this.

Room was stuffy and dark, hard to control the heating

We stayed for six nights. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The staff was exceptional, especially Alexandra (one of the managers) and Lemmiya (breakfast room cook and manager), and the others as well (sorry, can't remember the names). They were very responsive to any problem we had.The breakfast was ample, fresh, and tasty every day.The location was absolutely perfect - right next to the Musemplein and very convenient to public transportation.

Unfortunately the regular cleaning staff was on vacation during our stay and the cleaning company that took their place didn't do the best job, though the room was far from dirty. Again, Alexandra dealt very well with the problems that arose. The breakfast could have been a bit more varied (e.g. hard boiled in addition to scrambled eggs).

We had a room on the first floor. The breakfast was wonderful....a very large selection! Location is very good.

I travelled with my daughter and requested a twin room. I received a welcome email telling me I had room 114, which I understood had twin beds and a small patio. When I arrived, the lady at the desk asked if I would consider one bed. I told her "no" and mentioned that I had been told I was in room 114. She said there were changes and I would get a bigger room. The size of room 114 would have made me happy! It was a stormy blustery day, but when we returned from dinner the sun came out and it was a lovely evening. My daughter and I both mentioned that we wished we had that patio, so that we could sit outside with a drink. I prefer to be given the room I choose when I book a hotel. Also didn't find the desk lady to be friendly. However the lady at breakfast could not have been nicer and the breakfast was wonderful!

Excellent location close to museums and to bus and trams to get into the historic centre. Rooms were very comfortable and a good size and appeared to be recently renovated.

The hotel's location is amazing for sightseeing in Amsterdam - right in the museum quarter, not so good for partying, I suppose. The breakfast was great especially with the Dutch pancakes. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities in the room all worked well.

Only two minor negatives:1. We had to wait about 5 mins a couple times to get in the hotel because there was no one at the reception (this was once we had checked out and only wanted to drop off bikes/collect our luggage - normally this isn't an issue as you can enter with your key card)2. The furniture in the bedroom which is made of HDF or some other chipboard painted grey is not the prettiest

Loved the location, the attentive staff and the overall vibe of the place! As we visited during the low season, we were given an upgrade for the same price. This made us very happy! The bed was comfortable and the room was generally quiet and nicely decorated with a balcony.

The only thing we didn’t like was hearing the children playing during recess from the school next door. It’s not a huge problem to be honest, as you are in Amsterdam to visit the city, not spend time in your room. The children also go back to class eventually! It does however make it difficult to take an afternoon nap to get over jet lag. It wouldn’t stop us from coming back to stay here cause it’s an awesome hotel, our favourite spot so far!
