Great atmosphere, calm, quiet, clean. Very nice and helpfull staff. Great breakfast and services in general.

If you are in Amsterdam for visiting the museums or the Concert Hall, the location is perfect. In addition, access to the city centre was very easy (less than 20min in total), since the tram 12 stop is 6min away (on foot) from the hotel. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The Honest Bar used for the breakfast is quite cozy. The breakfast had fresh food and different types of eggs (omelette-scrambled-boiled), but with limited selection on the rest of the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful, just as the boutique hotels must be.

The hotel holds a deposit at the check-in. The limited selection at the breakfast. Taking into account the non-comfortable option of the classic, narrow staircase of the hotel, the lift was taking too long to operate.

Everything was very clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. It is a quiet neighborhood, but very close to the museums, and some eateries.

It was a bit pricey for my very small room, but I have to say it was still comfortable.

De Ware Jacob is a beautiful hotel with impeccably professional and warm staff. While breakfast was not included, we delighted in enjoying excellent wine in the hotel’s serene and inviting lounge. The location was perfect.

We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel due to the price; however, given the high level of service throughout our stay, we believe it would have been delicious and a lovely addition to the experience.

Absolutely wonderful hotel - can’t rate it highly enough.The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and always happy to help with advice on restaurants/activities/transport etc.The family rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The beds were also extremely comfortable and the complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice touch.Great location for families (we were two families travelling with four children ranging from 9 to 14) - easy walking distance to the beautiful Vondelpark as well as all the museums at Museumplein (with Christmas market and ice skating too!) and lots of restaurants nearby. Being further out of town, the neighbourhood was less touristy and felt very safe. The tram stop was a 5 minute walk away and very easy to hop onto a tram into the old town and all the way to Centraal Station.

Great location and super helpful staff. In a quiet area but not far from the action. The sitting room after a long day sightseeing was perfect to wind down for the day.

We booked a small room with a sturdy bunk bed for one night with a good friend of mine. The room and the bathroom were small, but clean and of good quality, and the hotel’s location was perfect for us because all the important sights were within walking distance. The breakfast and the staff were very kind and attentive, and the room designed for this purpose had a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily come back another time — and we even received a 10% coupon at checkout.

Welcome of the staff, the complimentary drinks and snacks. The lounge with the honesty bar made it like being at home. The proximity to the Museumplein and the Concertgebouw (the main purpose of our visit to see 10cc who were brilliant) and the public transport network made it a perfect location for a short stay in Amsterdam

As a family with 2 kids, we were especially very satisfied. All the staff were very warm and friendly. The rooms are large and very clean. Housekeeping is done every day. When we checked into the hotel, they had filled the minibar with snacks and drinks free of charge. At the hotel’s café, there are also alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. You can benefit from all of them within certain limits. You can reach the city center in 10 minutes by a single tram ride. It is very close to the museum district, within walking distance. Unlike other boutique/small hotels in Amsterdam, the hotel has an elevator. The street where the hotel is located is very quiet, so you can sleep and rest very well.

Beautiful, cute clean, little hotel. Tucked away in a really nice area with lots of great eating places. We never got a bus or tram the whole time. Walked everywhere.
