Pros +
- I liked the location.
- Fantastic location and friendly reception
- Great location, friendly staff, comfy beds ?
Cons -
- I didn't like the room. The window was facing the wall of the building next to the hotel. Also the stairs are really steep and small. My room was located by the service room, so I could hear the cleaning stuff at 7am, so it wasn't a good sleep in the end.
- There was mold in the bathroom ceiling and the housekeeper was VERY loud cleaning all surrounding rooms beginning around 7:30am until after 2:30pm each day. Although the rooms themselves were clean, the hallways were littered with the same trash the entirety of my stay.
- They use very strong smelling cleaning products, so if you are sensitive to strong chemical products, you might struggle a little bit. I had to open the windows even though it was very cold.

Location was perfect. Receptionist was very polite and welcoming. They also gave us three rooms (we booked two)
The three beds room that I was in is way too small for three beds. Hardly a room to move around. Plus a nasty smell from bathroom sewerage . Steep stairs to the lobby and again stairs to the 2nd floor where our rooms were.
location was great, for the price it was very central, Right opposite the train station. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful with local directions. The bathroom, although small, was very well designed.
be aware that, like many Dutch buildings, the entry stairs are very steep. you will need to carry your luggage up a steep flight of stairs.
The receptionist Johnny was great. He deserves a promotion. Great conversationalist, gave great advice, and extremely friendly. He made my one night there entertaining. GIVE THAT MAN A PROMOTION. He is great.
The rooms were okay. The only thing was the bathroom reeked of old urine. It was clean, but whoever is cleaning needs new cleaning products because when we walked out the next morning we smelled the equipment that was being used. It smelled of urine. This is my only suggestion. Stronger cleaning products!!!
Location and rooms were a good size and set up
Tea and coffee station behind check in desk
it is a fantastic location, easy to walk everywhere I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Trams right outside
It didnt affect me but there is steep stairs up to office and rooms, which wouldn't suit someone who is elderly but other than that it is sensational
No frills, but central, comfortable, clean, affordable and friendly staff - exactly what we needed
How close it is to everything.
Very noisy. Outside was A bar with loud music, could be heard until 1-2 am.Walls not insulated well, you could hear people coming in at all hours, door slamming talking etc.No elevator, carry your luggage up 15 stairs.
location
Rooms are soo small nothing like on images, did not expect that, they are almost big as the bed.
Great location with very friendly staff willing to help accommodate any requests within their ability and provide insight of direction on locations to visit as well as directions to destinations as well. The stay was decent and provided the necessary amenities if you do not require laundry on site.
The only negative is the room doors are not well insulated, so you have a late night and want to sleep in, you will be awoken but others noises in the halls as they’re leaving. Windows as well, there are people out late at night walking down the street adjacent to the hotel. I was often awoken by people outside at 3 and 4 in the morning.
Location and staff members were amazing. Viva Cuarazao and Dominican Republic.
In summer, the smell of the toilet ducts is not good.
The location was fantastic. Right outside the metro and tram stops.
We had two rooms and one smelled musty even with the windows open. No AC and we were there in summer so it was a little warm but not bad. We had a fan which helped a ton.
Great staff - clean property and great location
Steep stairs but it’s Amsterdam and most properties are the Same
Room type scam
I reserved a twin room but apparently they sold a triple room to us as if it were a twin room. We couldn't transfer to a room of the type we reserved for in advance and the room they gave us was nothing like the pictures. It was at the ceiling and claustrophobic
This is a small little hotel, just a bed and bathroom, but the location is excellent, and perfect for anyone who wants to have a little ‘home base’ to explore the city from.
It is a little small, barely room to shuffle around the bed with some things unpacked.
The location is superb, the staff is friendly, and the price is affordable. I don't understand why people are giving negative reviews. Obviously, it's for sleeping and bathing.
The location is amazing. A walking distance to all the landmarks of Amsterdam downtown. The staff is very helpful, kind and professional. Wifi is very good. Free coffee and very clean rooms.
It was a good choice. The hotel is well ocated, opposite the Rokin metro station and 500 meters from the central train station. Many places are easily accessible on foot. Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly.
