Pros +
- Our room, the staff and the yummy green tea with lemon every morning.
- I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was clean, the staff very nice. The breakfast was good. I would have liked to have foreign channels on TV.
- The location is absolutely perfect. Such a sweet little building and the staff and really nice.
Cons -
- Need new towels and of course, the stairs are an exercise, but its also part of the charm.
- There was rubbish under the bed (empty water bottle) and the towels were thin and had holes in them.
- Important to consider: access to the first floor is via a very steep staircase with narrow steps, which could be challenging for older guests or anyone with mobility issues.

Excellent location, right on the canal, with a very romantic atmosphere.Breakfast is included and offers a good variety of options. The couple who runs the hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming, which really adds a personal touch to the stay.We stayed in a first-floor room facing the canal, and the view was excellent. One thing to note is that room brightness—especially in summer—can be an issue, as there are no blackout curtains. Street noise, however, was well controlled and did not disturb our sleep.Overall, the hotel offers a very good price, making it a great value option in Amsterdam.

The staff was so friendly and helpful; they went out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The croissants they served were better than we had just had in Paris. They kindly let my son have breakfast after it technically ended. The room was beautiful, clean, and fresh. The hotel was perfectly located. Loved the shower head and comfortable bedding. We had a group of 7 in 4 rooms; rooms 1 and 4 (canal view) are absolutely worth paying a bit extra for. The standard rooms (I was told) were great and just as comfortable, however. We are a pretty picky bunch, we’ve traveled many places, and we have zero complaints about this stay. Thanks again!
No complaints whatsoever.
The staff were great, very accommodating. Great breakfast.
The steep steps
Very convenient and quiet. Excellent huge breakfast and cozy comfortable bed. Nice to have a full sized table in the room
Lighting in the living room was very dark. Could have used more furniture like a coffee table and stand for luggage.
Big room with king-size bed. Typical bathroom, nothing extravagant. The breakfast area I believe doubled as a cafe / pastry shop. The included breakfast was your choice of savory hams and cheeses with bread, a croissant with jam or Nutella, hardboiled egg(s), cereal, yogurt, all of the above, or any combination you wanted. Coffee, tea, and juice of course. The staff was very accommodating.
The stairs up to the room are narrow and steep and I there wasn't an elevator. The staff was happy to help with our luggage but I would not recommend for anyone who cannot manage stairs.
Location was just amazing. Jordaan is exactly where we will stay next time we visit, and we’d love to stay at ‘t Hotel next time we visit! The included breakfast was so nice. Great breads, cheeses, veggies, and coffee. I loved our room overlooking the canal too. We just pulled our chairs up to the window and looked out for basically all our waking time in our room. Just a lovely place.
Stairs were 1/2 stairs, 1/2 ladder, but that is to be expected for most places along the canals due to their history as being storehouses back in the day.
Beautiful little hotel on a quiet canal street. The staff who run the hotel are very kind and run the cafe as well. Everything was delicious.
I loved everything about this hotel, I have no complaints
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent with many choices!
I didn't know the hotel does not have elevators. Our room was on the 2nd floor. One of the two set of stairs is narrow and high to climb. Luckily, the front desk helped us with the luggage at 6 am (before their desk hours) per our request.
Location
The room was stuffy. Bed wasn’t that great and temperature was hard to control
Beautiful hotel- well maintained & excellent location. Big room with a bank of windows overlooking the canal.
Steep staircase- not a problem for us but to be aware of for older people or those needing accessibility.
Nice quiet location we walked everywhere Breakfast was great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms nicely decorated and very clean- would highly recommend
Nothing all great
Convenient location in the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood. Stylish individually decorated rooms curated by the owner’s daughter provided a personal touch. Delicious breakfast included.
Location was excellent however the staff was so kind and friendly which made the stay so wonderful.
The stairs are very steep. But so worth it!
The room (#8) was adorable and the staff were superb. Loft bedroom was perfect for 8 and 9 year old daughters. May not be suitable for younger kids for fear of falling from loft. Overall, highly recommended to others.
Room was a bit warm and stuffy but 2 fans were available to help circulate air which helped quite a bit.
Fantastic location, excellent staff, great breakfast. Room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped.
Just a warning, there is no elevator and the stairs are typically steep for Amsterdam.
Incredible. Our second stay at the hotel. The location is great, right on a small canal on a quiet street but close to e
Clean and good taste. Charming. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Great location.
Step stairs to room.
