It was a return to grander times in a true hotel.

Since I'm allergic to dogs, I had a difficult time with the "open dog policy" at the hotel. I could never go back. Maybe a reference to that, would have helped me. (I could have gotten some allergy medication.)

Room was horribly small. Hard to maneuver into the shower and no place to sit but the desk chair or the toilet.

Opulent resort property with spacious and comfortable rooms

It is a beautiful hotel! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Grounds were well maintained and had fire pits available.

Staff is professional, friendly and well trained. Couldn¿t be more satisfied.

Location

For the star rating and price, the rooms are old, not the cleanest either. Disappointing for such a well known hotel.

The historical feel

Check in Staff talked far to fast. Cannot imagine an elderly person understanding a word that was said.

The iutside of the hotel is gorgeous. It is historic and iconic. The room looked nice. Bed was comfortable.

They gave me an occupied room to start off. Upgraded us to a king room to compensate. That was professional and appreciated. But then he shower didn¿t drain properly at all. The water (full of hair) built up in the bottom of the shower!

Room is too small I can only see a little sea from the window of my ¿sea view room ¿

The room was very warm and you can¿t turn the heat down. Had to open all the windows to cool the room so I could sleep

My favourite getaway place. A beautiful hotel with tons of historic character in the most beautiful setting.

The in-room coffee was weak.

location

our first night was horrible due to noisy mechanical problems in the room, but they said they had no other room to change us too until the maintenance supervisor spoke to the room supervisor, then we suddenly had a room to move to for the next night.

I enjoyed the pool

I don’t see why the extra charges to use the pool etc etc . Resort fees on top of price is deceiving .Overall over priced in my opinion

The view was nice and the bed was comfy.

It was our first time there and was disappointed with the price we paid was expecting more we’ve stayed in less and got more.

Had a great room with great view Staff was great helpful and would go out of there way to help

History

Couldn't enjoy the patio that we paid extra to have due to all the bird excrement. Screen patio door was broken as well.

charm, it is an older building that is said to be haunted

there was a power outage throughout the town and the hotel did not have a emergency generator. From what we were told in the town that the power goes off regularly. The staff were very helpful and still accommodated for our stay.

Cleanliness, parking, restaurant

Buffet breakfast area was cold. Windows in that section need updating.

We were upgraded to a king room and even though we arrived 5 mins too late for breakfast they accommodated us which was really appreciated.

It is pricey especially in off season but we decided to splurge for a night and it did not disappoint The only thing disappointing was that we would have liked the bar to have remained open past 11:00. It would have been nice to have it open until 12:00
