Motel Saint-Hilaire

Location.

Ancient and small bathroom. It was an issue to my husband take a shower. He didn't feed in the little box. Even the toilet is so small that you need to change the position you site to fix on it.

Close to restaurants and highway

Nothing! What a disaster!

The room stank, the carpet was disgusting, The noise from the road made it impossible to sleep, the building shook like it was experiencing an earthquake, worst staff I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with, broken bed with crooked mattress.

The surcharge was more than the rate charged for the room.... Quite misleading folks. Both first and last time. FYI, a ----$ surcharge on a ----$ room is rediculous!!

Started off with being locked out the room due to the card reader breaking....owner tried to get it fixed- offered us a single bedroom but when we went to use the washroom it reeked of cigarettes, there was open alcohol and the bed wasn't made...they had no other room so we waited for them to break into the original room that we were given as our bags were in there this took some time late at night- he eventually broke the lock and we were able to stay there without the door locking properly.- We were promised to be compensated for our troubles and were ghosted despite contacting the property.

Bad

Stay away from this motel. Very dirty and outdated. Some rooms are rented out monthly to homeless people. On the time of our visit, it looked like at least 3 rooms are that way. On the property, old mattresses, microwaves and fridge are left unattended to and looks like a dump.Some booking sites have somes pictures that are not even from this motel.The rooms smelled very bad, AC was outdated and very dirty.Felt like an unsafe place for a family so we left.Don't try to talk to the owner if anything happens, very rude and not wanting to help in anyway.We had booked with booking.com, who didn't care also.

Best location is Mount Saint Hillaire. The convenience stores are very accessible; Easy Parking on premises.Quick check-in, and suggestions for breakfast.

Would have loved a Coffee Maker.

Fairly close to the Highway & restaurants were within walking distance. It was cheaper than most places in the area.

We had problems locking our door. The deadbolt didn't fit well into the hole on the door frame. We had to try it several times & needed to ask for assistance from the manager/desk staff. Also, we had to pay a substantial refundable deposit on our credit card, due to people "trashing" rooms while partying. The parking was quite tricky. We had a small car with us & it took more than one attempt to park in front of our room. The bedspread didn't smell very fresh.

Just what is needed no more no less

The area is a bit noisy and the rooms are not completely sound proof but I had a good night of sleep. It got the job done

Nothing at all never stay again

Rooms were very dated right beside and noisy highway 15 minutes to get hot water to my room. If you rent a room by the day, they sticky beside the highway if you rent the rooms monthly, you get a better suite. no grocery stores or fast food stores close by. Sketchy looking people walking around the parking lot.

Room was on upper floor, accessible only by outside stairs - would not be accessible for those with mobility issues. Bathroom was very small.

A bit icky and smelly.

The mattresses need to be replaced. They're extremely stained, and because they don't use fitted sheets or a mattress pad, the mattresses were exposed by the morning. One mattress looked like someone gave birth on it. Very musty smell with a lingering old smoker smell.
