Auberge Les Deux Tours

Nice hosts and they got ready for us in a hurry since we arrived early.

Dust bunnies galore under the beds. I dropped an earring and almost left it. The hosts were very sweet but we didn't realize this more like a hostel than a hotel. Guys drinking on the back landing and the alley smelled like urine.

The room was clean and nice.

We booked the stay short notice. There was no staff on-site. We had trouble getting access to our room. Called the contact number and no answer no return call. We later locked ourselves out of the room and we could not get in contact with the owners to get back in. Called, txted, messaged many times. After many hours no reply from owners. It is important that the owners not neglect their clients and make themselves available incase of problems.

There was plenty of space in the suite (but see comments below). We arrived too late for dinner although the staff helped us with check in (they closed shortly after). and had breakfast elsewhere. Free parking across the street was convenient but almost full - not sure where to park if that's the case.

Owners are not on site. Instructions emailed in advance but room no. not shown prominently and not shown at all on one message - had to check messages to find which room key to pick up.Based on our room (#6) this looks like an amateur B&B conversion still in progress. I strongly urge giving more thought to the layout before finishing. The bed was so close to the window it wasn't practical to get by, so we moved it. Th blanket shelf is just placed to bang the head of anyone moving in the dark. The shelf by the bedside could be easily located so that the bed could stand clear from the window, etc., etc. The bathroom window has no blind or cover, and a ladder is placed so that anyone on it has a clear view into the bathroom.The box for keys should probably be fixed to the wall with a security code, as the place next door seems to be a shelter and the occupants can see how visitors access as it's in view of their patio area.

The person who welcomed us wasn't welcoming at all it was like we were bothering him also they way you get the keys is very inconvenient you have to go around the back on the 2nd floor to get your keys in an unattended box The Futon has a huge metal bar in the middle very hard to sleep on Very poorly insulated you can hear everything in the restaurant below voices , dishes etc and it's very cold with no comforter for the futon

Location only 500 meter to train station, because I took train to this place

No daily clean, no staff, no communication, restaurant closed, no pick up service which mentioned on the booking

Very difficult to get a hole of someone to check in. Restaurant unexpectedly closed while we were there. No communication from the host. Everything outside was very dirty - the stairs leading to our room, the outside table and chairs. The room was okay - the size was good, the sitting area size was good but the couch was very uncomfortable. No amenities whatsoever. Towels were very rough. No option for breakfast at the place eventhough it was requested - again no communication from the host.

Felt dirty. No communication from the host. Difficulty getting a hold of host to check in. Never saw anyone there. Didn't feel very safe as there was just a bucket with keys to all the rooms and into the house sitting outside on a table.

For the price is very bad .

Space, no sound isolation.. no quiet , floor is very noising
