Appreciated the amenities & staff of the hotel: friendly & helpful staff, very complete facilities (spacious rooms, super clean, laundry, shared kitchen/dining/living room privileges, conveniently near the ferry, & other services

Do it yourself breakfast in kitchen with all foods available --eggs, sausage, (you cook) yogurt, breads, fruit, cereals

Communal breakfast area, good location to the ferry and exploring in Labrador.

    9HeatherPosted on: 9-20-2025

Location was 7 minutes from the Ferry over to Newfoundland. Room was clean and comfortable and self serve breakfast was included. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet and meticulously clean. Host was very helpful.

    Suited our needs.

The use of the kitchen was a bonus. The motel was a very unusual layout of rooms and hallways, balconies, kitchen and dining room. This added to the interest and atmosphere.

There was an odour of cigarette smoke in the entrance, office area. All other areas of the motel were free of odour.

Excellent location. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. Only wish we could have stayed longer….what a beautiful place and so cozy.

Friendly staff, awesome breakfast, location is beautiful. Will stay again!

We wish there was a screened window for the main door to help cool down the breeze. The place was quite hot.

we had reserved the room for two non consecutive nights. The ferry from St. Barbe was cancelled due to bad weather and we were not able to check in the first night. We had booked a non refundable room and were expecting to have to pay for the room anyway. I emailed the host to let him know we would not make it to check in. When we arrived for the second nights stay, he informed us that he was able to rent the room and refunded our money even though he did not have to do it.I also liked the fact that breakfast was available even though we had to leave at 4:00 the next morning.

I can not see how the experience could have been any better

It was very clean, quiet and well kept. I loved the setup for breakfast. There was a good selection of food. The host was very accommodating. We were late getting there, and he had to return from his hometown to check uds in. Also, he gave us an extra room because the room with the soda bed wasn't available.

The bedding is outdated. That being said, it is very well kept up.

We stayed for a night before catching a ferry. Breakfast was good, as was having access to the kitchen. A little dated room and decor, but perfectly quiet and comfortable.

    Laundry not working.

Gary the host was fantastic. Gave us a personal tour of facilities when we arrived. He allowed us to stay a long time after check out due to our ferry being delayed. Breakfast was make your way, with hotel providing the food. Kitchen was also available for other meals with your own food. We had a beautiful view of the water.
