Econo Lodge Huntsville - Hunters Bay

Rooms were nicely done. Comfortable bed.

Exterior very shabby and dirty looking. Broken slats in window adjacent entrance. Painted rough board exterior filthy. No care taken with overgrown weeds .

Staff were nice

Limited breakfast.. no elevator.. funny smell .. basic room .. run down

Room was clean and big. No bed bugs.

It smelled bad. Moreover, we were staying in a joining room, and were able to hear everything that happened in another room....even when another guest was cleaning his nose around 7 am. Bed blankets looked old and upsetting

Beds were on metal filing cabinet type pedistals which made "oil can effect" flexing noise during even minor movements in bed. Loud like someone was striking a giant tribal gong. Never seen this type of hollow sheet metal structure under a bed before.

It was avalible for this trip. Would have much rather stayed at the Comfort Inn in Hunsville.

I was charged an extra $38.00 by the hotel because we had our dog with us. Your websign said it was pet friendly and I have stayed at other hotels but was never charged extra for our pet. This brings the total cost to $--- Per night. More than I wou

There was a door between my room and adjacent room and we can clearly hear the conversation from the other room. As such we had to switch on music to have our conversation in our room

Nothing, i paid extra for breakfast. Got nothing in return, at least tale out the false marketing free breakfast from the booking details .

False Marketing. While booking its says continental breakfast whereas No breakfast was there and using the excuse of COVID. I have stayed in many similar hotel in days of lockdown they all are giving breakfast bags at least something.

Room was clean. Location was central to attractions. --$ per night ( early December)

Waited almost half an hour for someone to check us in. No juice in dispensing unit. Cups very small for coffee. No breakfast die to Covid but no excuse for no juices or bottled water. TV not plugged in. Walls paper thin, heard other guests all night.

Reasonably priced, with 2 queen beds.

Bathroom is musty smelling. Breakfast was cancelled due to Covid, with no accommodations.

Location was good.

At 3:00 AM, people next door were yelling and laughing very loudly. Then loud music was played. We phoned the front desk and complained. By 4:00, it was still loud with laughter and constant loud talking. Our sleep was totally disturbed.

Early check in as the room was already available when we arrived at 1:00pm. Carpet was removed and replaced by clean vinyl floors, which gave a fresh, more modern look to the room.

The room was not cleaned (garbage removed after the first night).

No bugs, good a/c. Comfortable queen beds. Great location for walk to Canada Day fireworks at Hunters Bay.

Breakfast is lacking in quality. Better to have a voucher for a local eatery (i.e. Westside Fish and Chips across the street). TV definition is poor.

The bathroom sink was leaking and the bathroom fan was not working. The garbage bin outside of the side door was not emptied for the whole weekend. Would prefer some fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast.

It was clean and the unlimited coffee machine was great.

One bed was very lumpy and the sink was quite slow to drain.

Not sure why I was charged in US dollars when I booked in Canada and did not leave the Country. This practice is deceptive.

The fact that it was just a nice little more local neighbourhood motel stood out to me , good clean beds , was just great .
