The Country Inn of Berkeley Springs

Great location--right next to the State Park and the Roman Baths and Spa.

Hotel is VERY outdated--not clean, not friendly. Restaurant is sub-par...beds are quite old and rickety--uncomfortable.

Location in a quaint small town.

The bed squeaked and squealed with each bodily movement. I know that neither my spouse or I hardly slept. Disappointed after a long 12 hour trip from home.

Room and property show its age. Staff was at best mildly interested in being there. Food was very subpar at their restaurant.

The hotel is in the heart of Berkeley Springs next to the state park. It is the perfect spot from which to explore the quaint and perfect little town Great for a girls' weekend or weekday exploration

The hotel was so charming, with a lot of history. The food was fantastic . The staff were very nice. Walking distance to downtown shops and food.

Hotel dining is hard to get into without a reservation.

The atmosphere of the inn was everything we had hoped for. The food in the tavern was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Room was big and had a fridge. Bed was comfortable.

Air conditioner was pretty loud.

Character and Charm plus location was ideal for my trip

Not sure why the sink and toilet were so low. The sink was below my backside ( am only 5'9") and the toilet was well below my knee ( basically had to do a deep squat. AND the bed was had as a rock.

Great location in the middle of town! They have some pet friendly rooms so we brought our dog. Staff is always super helpful & friendly. The on site restaurant even made room for us at a fully booked Christmas dinner! Highly recommend this place!

It wasn't possible to walk from our hotel room to the main building inside. There is a covered walkway but no indoor hallway.

old rustic character is what we wanted. numerous spas to choose from also all within walking distance from the Inn.

I was expecting more. Maybe the historic rooms are better. I'd stay again if the price was right to find out

The room was roomy, comfortable, quiet, very clean and the heat worked well. Coffee setup was a little chintzy. Carpet was new and the room was reasonably well appointed. Pet friendly though we didn't have one.

I thought the grounds could be spruced up. It wasn't crazy expensive to stay here but it didn't look particularly inviting. For instance, an outside gas lantern was missing all the glass, Xmas decorations were still up in our hallway, it needed sweeping.

Location is excellent, garden is very nice.

Shabby hotel, not updated in the last 30 years. Spa is nice, except for the fact that you have to shuttle between floors in the hotel elevator. Artwork throughout hotel is ridiculously outdated.

Room decor needs improvemnt, the bathroom towels should be larger and the blankets were old & ripped.

It was easy to find, right off of the main road. I have passed by this hotel for years and always wanted to stay.

The hotel was very clean but it felt as though everything was damp. Near the bathroom, the smell was very strong. The towels in the bathroom even felt damp. I would stay again, but ask to be on another floor? Not sure if it would make a difference.

1. On day of arrival water in shower was not hot, may be tepid. 2. There is an inhouse spa, but closes at 5 pm weekdays.
