Hampton Inn & Suites Tyler-South

Wasn’t happy with it all. Will not be going back.

They have remodeled and it is not good at all. The staff were rude and not helpful. The hotel floors were disgusting and overall hotel stunk.

The location of this hotel is convenient to shopping and the freeway. Parking is plentiful and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is complimentary and is available from 6am to 10 am. The breakfast was prepared by staff, she is attentive .

They do not clean your room on a daily basis.

The rolling bathroom door that doubles as a closet door is dangerous. I was standing barefoot in front of the closet when my girlfriend opened the bathroom door and it hit my toes. No injury.

The floor we were on and the room had a bad odor. We later were told it was a sewer problem. The remodeling that was done in the bathroom was poor. The floor tiles were not attached to the floor. The odor could have come from water trapped under the floor

We weren?t told about the sewer problem and we were given rooms in the affected area of the motel.

Hotel was beautiful and so spacious. We cooked in our room and we pretty much had everything we needed to create a great home cooked meal. Beds were very comfortable.

The only challenge we had was the room key didn't work because we checked in after 10 PM. The breakfast was pretty underwhelming but it could have been because it was a Sunday. My boys loved their waffles. They had hot food items, pastries, cereal, etc.

The room had a walk in shower. The door was off the hinges and would open only 6-8 inches. I didn¿t realize that until I went to take a shower. This was obviously noticed before and was not repaired. Not happy!

The Breakfast could have had some fruit selections. The morning desk personnel wasn't very inviting or guest friendly. He didn't smile or ask about my stay or anything.

Air conditioner fan was a nightmare. Made awkward noises that kept me from getting a good nights sleep which I needed because I was there in Tyler, Texas for a triathlon.

The location was great

My room was not cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub, stuff on the floor, the floor had clearly not been cleaned or vacuumed. The bed sheets were not changed. The comforter was pulled up over crumpled sheets and there was hair and a lighter in the bed.

Very clean, easy to navigate, front desk was courteous and staffed. Contactless check in and virtual keys is a plus

Great breakfast! The lady taking care of breakfast area was super friendly and did an outstanding job!!

Our room had a big gap in the door at the bottom when closed. A piece (like weather stripping), was ripped & hanging. Also, a piece of carpet was loose and could be pulled up. Room was ok but just didn't seem like it met "Hampton Inn Standards".

Convenient location. Check in was pleasant, and water bottles given to us was nice. Bed was comfortable.

The room smelled terrible - like it wasn't clean and fresh. The smell was musty and unpleasant. The bathroom didn't appear clean in the corners in and around the bath tub.

Swimming pool was closed. On a Friday. In 100 degree weather. Check in was slow. No internet in the room. I had to call myself and stay in the phone for 20 minutes.

The room was not well cleaned. The bathroom was rotten/molded Trash was everywhere. From the time you walked in. Very embarrassing for my guest. This hotel is not clean. Have to tell the truth.

Great location and was very nice.

Pillows looked fluffy but they were so flat. It was like you didn¿t have one at all. Would like to see their breakfast back.

I have stayed here before and never had any issues . It was so dirty . Trash in the cans overflowing . Someone has spilled something the day before in front of the elevator still there the next day . Gnats inside the bagel bin at breakfast .
