    Pros +

    • Location
    • I liked the location, parking right across the street, the room was comfortable.
    • Location and ease of checkin.

    Cons -

    • The smell, the poor repairs, lack of updates, lack of free coffee , which in my experience is standard, lack of adequate parking ,
    • The front desk staff could be friendlier. I felt like I was bothering them by wanting to check in or asking questions. Also there was no breakfast being served.
    • I arrived early because I had work to do and called ahead to ask if I could sit in the lobby before check‑in. They said yes — but what they call a “lobby” is nothing more than a small, neglected room with a musty, overpowering mildew smell that hits you the second you open the door. It was so strong that I had to hold my breath at times. The desk the attendant pointed me to was covered in dust, and the chair was so worn out and dirty that I nearly hurt myself sitting on it. When I tried to plug in my laptop, none of the outlets worked. The only option was an old extension cord that didn’t even have a proper ground connection. Nothing about the space felt clean, safe, or maintained.I never even made it to check‑in. Just being in that lobby for a few minutes was enough to know I could not stay there. The building is outdated, unclean, and honestly feels unsafe — more like a set for a scary movie than a hotel.I asked for a cancellation and refund immediately. The attendant couldn’t authorize it, and although they eventually refunded part of the amount, I still lost money. At that point, I didn’t care. I left in tears because the experience was that awful.

    Distance to the river walk

Holes in walls ac didnt work damage to counters in bathroom water damage stais paying for parking at the hotel just to be charged again once we left

    9KevinPosted on: 2-9-2026

So close to town. Everything walkable. Quirky but comfy. Liked the room.

Would have gone a 10, except for one reception staff who had no interest in making an effort (all the others were great), and who wanted to charge us 20 dollars for checking out half hour late.

Very centrally located, close to lots of restaurants and things to see

Parking is expensive 25$ USD per day.

*Great location close to the river/restaurants and bars *Staff are friendly and helpful *Room was very spacious and clean

A touch dated, but perfect for the price compared to other hotels.

IT was a good hotel for a quick last minute trip

It didn't have a iron , and that we had to pay separate for parking

The person at the front desk was very nice. Other than that not much. Short walk to river walk.

The AC unit was leaking on the carpet. The room smelled. There was a used wash rag left in the shower.

    Location and it’s adorable!

The male check in staff. He left me hanging and I had to start over with a very sweet young lady.

    9ReannaPosted on: 1-19-2026

Location was close to downtown and river walk and lots of restaurants

There was a strong musty smell and the bathroom could use better up keep

    9JackiePosted on: 1-19-2026

The location was perfect in a walking distance from everything. Room was clean and I enjoyed the balcony view. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

No breakfast. The vending machine was empty.

    5BeccaPosted on: 1-19-2026

The front desk person was working very hard. She worked to address any of the issues that arose. Price was very reasonable, and location was good. The person in the morning sent us to a good breakfast spot on the Riverwalk which was nice as well.

There was only one staff person on site--she had to check in people that all arrived around the same time, she was the one who inspected the room prior to people going up to the rooms, and was also doing laundry at the same time. Also, the facility was pretty run down. There were many places where it looked like things had been plastered over; some of the granite around the tub had fallen off, etc.

    3ShanePosted on: 1-15-2026

Location was great. Rooms were passable. However, there was no hot water for showers or shaving. Very disappointing. It spoilt an otherwise good stay.

No hot water for 2 nights and three days!!!

Smelled like mold. Very dark. Elevator didn't work. Room was small. Balcony view was ugly.
