Wyndham La Cascada Hotel

Beautiful suite, excellent location. Very homey with dishes and pans, great jetted tub, washer, dryer, detergent. We experienced the River Walk like never before -- it's so close you can go on foot multiple times in a day. Staff is extraordinary.

Some staff were rude. didn¿t have our room ready until after 5pm. waited over an hour in lobby & they kept telling us 20min,then 30 more min. etc. check in time is 4pm.The pool was very dirty, needed treated. This is a club hotel..tried to sell us

Size and comfort of the room.

Strange drainage from the shower, wet the whole bathroom. Immediate pressure from sales person posing as concierge to sell condos, which we were not expecting.

The room was nice. We had a separate living room, a small eating area and a nice kitchen.

This is NOT a hotel. It is a Vacation Rental. Because we were just renting, the staff made a big effort to get us to become owners. We told them we were not interested, but they did not respect that. Made for a poor vacation.

The facility canceled our reservation at the last minute,with really no explanation. I think they overbooked. We had to scramble to find another location to stay.

We were unable to stay at La Cascada due to the property being overbooked. We ended up staying at a Westin on the other side of town. We were charged a lot more than our room was worth, plus we incurred Uber fees that we were not anticipating on incurring. We lost out on a lot of site seeing due to overbooking fiasco. Instead of saving money through Booking.com, the relocation cost of time and money. Beyond disappointed.

The apartment was very spacious and had air con and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The pool was great and always quiet. The staff were so lovely and the location was great for us. Just off the Riverwalk.

I read reviews prior to our arrival about rooms being cancelled last minute due to this being a time share apartment block. So this caused stress prior to arrival but once we were checked in that went away.

The staff was attentive and thoughtful… Always stopping whatever they were doing to engage. We came in from a long walk on the river and they got us cold water to take to our room. Highly recommended and will definitely return if ever in the area.

Dirty room, breadcrumbs all over the tables, the phone in the room did not work, the cold water was very slow, the hot water was very powerful (almost burning us), not what we expected and paid for...Everything was reported to the hotel during the stay and when we left. Nothing was done.Our initial reservation, paid in Dec, nonrefundable, was cancelled, refunded in the day of our arrival because this hotel works in ownership regime and if the share owners decide to come in at any time, you are thrown in the street because they have priority over regular travelers, no matter if you paid in full long time ago. Please be aware of this enormous RISK whenbooking. No one notified us before arriving there about cancellation. Shocking how this is possible. No other hotels were available in that short time, because the city had La Fiesta Fair going on, so all hotels were full in that area.Booking.com does not have this clause written anywhere when we booked with them.So we ended up paying again for this dirty room, otherwise we would have slept in the street in a rainy night.We called the hotel a day before and they confirmed that all is OK and they are waiting for us.We had Very bad and unpleasant experience with this hotel.Never will stay with Wyndham Clubs anywhere, as regular traveler.AVOID this RISK.Upon returning home we called the Gen Manager, Mr. Chad Michaelson and he blamed their travel reservation party, which blamed the hotel because the hotel instructs them what to do and what to cancel.Four days after checkout, the booking.com still has our initial reservation NOT cancelled. How is this possible? Who is lying??Something very wrong is going on and no one is taking responsibility.We will investigate further and go public with this experience, so no one will end up sleeping in the street and have their vacation ruined, as we had ours.Shame to Club Wyndham, La Cascada, San Antonio for treating its guests like this. You ruined our vacation.

The resort cancelled my reservation less than 24 hrs before arriving from California. The reason was that they overbooked their rooms. I had to pay for another hotel before being reimbursed.

It was great. I reserved a 2 bedroom on Nov 13 2023. We were at the airport on Feb 28, 2024 and I received a call saying that the room was not available even tho they called on the 17th to verify my information and reservation. The put us in 2 separate rooms.

Location was great, facilities all good.

Took us a while to check in as room not ready until about 5pm. But we hung out and played pool / chess.
