Best Western McAllen Medical Center

Location

The hotel is very neglected, with a broken bathtub that has been painted to improve its appearance. The carpets are very dirty. The staff are always very friendly, but the hotel in general is in poor condition.

I like that the pool closes at 11pm, that is perfect to go shopping and still go to the pool for a while; the rooms are clean and have a decent breakfast.

Tv was sporadic at first but it was fixed. The maintenance personnel were very good

The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff were pleasant. The dining room was kept very clean. The food was good and kept hot.

The hotel was old. We were booked into a handicapped room which was not always convenient for us. There was no weather stripping around the door. We could see light around the edges of the door. The room was kept clean. Linens were clean.

The sanitary condition was good

Some staff was not courteous. We had a problem with the shower and changed our room immediately after lodging. For this inconvenience the staff on duty assured us for extension in check out time for an hour but staff in the morning shift were in aware

Good location near to medical center and stores/ restaurants.

Building is a bit old and start showing its age. A thunder storm cut the power Saturday night. Hotel don't have generator and were 4 hours in total darkness.

A good place for a 1-2 nights stay

Good Value for the price.

The counter girl had an aggressive temperament. Bad social skills, Did not answer my billing questions. Would not provide a receipt for transaction, Never smiled, she made it very obvious that she hates her job and took out her frustrations out on me.

It was clean, good room ando clean pool, Open late.

The breakfast is a little basic, but ok for the price.

The room was spotless! Staff extremely courteous. I felt very safe and comfortable.

I wish they would of served decaf coffee at breakfast, they only had regular. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Best part was my kids got waffles in the mornings, but we will never be back. Motel is trash.

The longer we stayed, the crappier the room got. For a Best Western, this hotel is trash. We paid the same price for this MOTEL style room we would have paid for a newer, cleaner, bigger room at the Hampton down the street. Smelled funky and dirty.

The room was spacious.

The outside of the hotel room looks like a very cheap motel and that is your first impression. The lobby looks nice.

It is a very good hotel--clean, convenient, and well-equipped.

This hotel is truly out of date the rooms were old the shower was painted over with white paint the chairs was nasty and the towels were just rags.

Price and location

Had to wait longer than usual for check in. There was only 1 girl working at the desk and a customer 2 in front of me had an issue that took time to resolve. An extra check-in person would have been helpful.

Very little hot water- no ice- rooms are very old. Breakfast area very poorly kept.

I like the price and the rooms very clean and spacious .

The only downside is that even when you want to extend your stay you have to pay 50 dollar fee for incidentals which will be returned but doesn¿t make sense to pay 50 dollars twice

The room I choose looked clean, though it did not have the sticker on the door stating that the room was sanitized as I have seen in other Best westerns.

I don't know if they had recently fumigated the room because I did find 2 dead roaches on the carpet floor.
