Verta Hotel McAllen

The staff was super nice and we really had control over temperature. The ladies that served breakfast and the girls that cleaned the room were always so sweet. This is my second stay and everyone is soo nice

Even though it was an older hotel, it still had a bit of class to it. The staff wore suits and ties, the breakfast was well done and served in the restaurant. The pool was clean and enjoyable.

The staff wanted to be of help, but the problem is the building that has a terrible mildew smell in all the floors. My wife suffers from asthma, this hotel is not a healthy environment.?

It?s nothing that I found appealing about the hotel, except the staff that tried to help us.

You are not permitted to take breakfast out of restaurant area

The hotel was in an ideal location to get to restaurants and stores in McAllen. It was nicely updated and well maintained.

The water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink left a lot to be desired and the towels were like sandpaper.

The staff, cleanliness, and breakfast. Almost everything!

I missed a safety box in the room. To me, that is kind of the basics.

Ballroom was comfortable, and spacious for my Daughter's wedding.Nice window view,very nice swimming pool area,and backyard area.

Only one elevator working,the other elevator was out of service. Room #224 had a funny smelly odor, old carpet. One pole holding curtain fell down.It scared me due to a very loud noise. I notified front desk immediately.

The bathrooms are old with old shower tubs very outdated and the furniture is not the prettiest but is extremely clean I love that .

Beautiful hotel. Everything feels new. Great beds, overall great rooms. Staff friendly and so helpful and the breakfast buffet delicious.

Maybe the food but bad customer service especially manger and I found ticks and bud under comfort was gross

The staff is beyond helpful and kind. The hotel is so clean and the rooms are spacious! And the breakfast is beyond delicious.

It appears decently clean. The entry decor is very nice and staff is friendly, too.

This world has changed and this hotel needs higher standards for Covid. 100% of people walking halls and common areas are maskless including all employees. Only cleaning ladies care enough about their safety and the guests¿ to wear masks.

Staff was wonderful. They always made sure to greet you and acknowledge you when entering the lobby. The breakfast had a variety of choices and was delicious.

Nothing bad I can say about hotel other than too many dogs and I'm allergic to dogs.

It had good AC.

There was no closet in the room! It was not properly cleaned. A beer bottle was left in one of trash cans. There was a musty smell both in the room and the rest of the hotel. Overall, the facility needs an overhaul. Very disappointed in our experience.

Very clean and friendly staff.

Iwe could hear the family next door in the morning. Walls are apparently not soundproof. They were yelling at the kids and woke us up.
