Wyndham Garden McAllen at La Plaza Mall

My 5 star review is based in customer experience. When entering the lobby area smell so clean and nice. The employees are well trained polite and very professional. The room was impeccable kudos to the housekeeping team. It was a outstanding experience.

The pool and community area was great for our large family to just congregate and hang out. The breakfast exceeded expectations

2 of the 3 elevators on the premises were broke down a majority of the stay. There are general maintenance concerns like missing tiles from the pool. Leaking sprinkler head dripping onto pool walkway.

housekeeper had to come and redo my floors was not to my expectation. When I went back to room i still saw hair. i took it upon myself and cleaned them myself. I am very picky. WAs not happy that the pool was not heated like it was before. Jacuzzi

It looks very nice from the outside, once you go in, you can tell the hotel needs maintenance and it¿s outdated. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. However, it looks old.. if you need ice, you have to come down from the 4th floor to the lobby

Location is GREAT!

The rooms were extremely hot we got moved because the air didn¿t work and on the second room it wasn¿t any better.

The best part of this hotel was the waffle maker¿ which I could not even use one of the mornings because they refused to fill the batter dispenser.

The lobby felt like it was 100 degrees inside with flies everywhere. Anytime we were in the lobby or eating area we were swatting flies. The room they put us in was for wheelchair/handicap so it was very difficult to use anything in it¿ it was awful.

The room we were staying did not have much privacy, we could hear the people next door talking. Also the building was under construction.

Hotel was in construction. 3 different times @ 4am, the fire alarm sounded extremely loud at the entire hotel and lasted for about 3 minutes each time. It ended up being a construction problem, but the entire hotel woke up 3 times at 4am because this.

The heated indoor and outdoor pool

Alot of construction, a church convention was going on so it was packed where they set up the temp lobby check in. Messy dining for Morning breakfast. Staff was nice and apologetic upon check-in.

Employee makes me woke up early because they leave the invoice under the door. It is a little bother me. Usually, they give me when I check out.
