    Pros +

    • It was so charming and the food at the tavern and breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Busy but available with a phone call. The dogs were super sweet.
    • Awesome place, enjoyed how simple this place is. Coffee in the morning by the river watching two fly fishermen in the river. Staff go out of he way to get you what you need.
    • The grounds were beautiful, the linens were lovely, the service was top-notch, the staff was very kind, the room was peaceful and appointed with such lovely antique furniture. The dining area was elegant and the meals were delicious.

    Cons -

    • I wish there was curtains for the window. They had blinds which we closed but I wish they had both especially in the bathroom.
    • Breakfast wasn't very good.
    • It was an older style traditional low tech hotel. So if you are looking for modern items like a TV, this isn't the place.

It was perfect walking distance from downtown. It made for a wonderful romantic weekend.

It was an older style traditional low tech hotel. So if you are looking for modern items like a TV, this isn't the place.

Nice and clean. Great location right on the river. The restaurant was well worth the food without having to leave to go anywhere else. Staff was very inviting and friendly. The staff was prepared with ice packs and bandages. For anyone who needed them after the spartan race

    It was perfect.

It was a small business and the staff was very personable and friendly. The food in the restaurant was amazing! We went there to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time.

Because I'm an early riser it would have been nicer to be able to get coffee earlier than 7:30. However, I survived and the coffee, when made, was very good. The breakfast was also very good.

It’s a historic and beautiful property on the river with lots of room for our dogs to play, sit outside and enjoy the river and cooler air. Great food and super nice staff and owner!

My only issue was a lack of plugs for our electronic devices. Maybe a power strip would have been nice.

My partner and I loved Inn on the River. They were accommodating to our two small dogs and were just steps from the river. We usually drive (and sometimes pay) for river access parking, but there was no need to even move the car from here. The room was cute and clean, and the rest of the inn was well maintained and inviting. Breakfast was delicious! We were also able to order food and drinks from the restaurant to enjoy while sitting on the lawn overlooking the river. We drive down from Dallas a couple times a year and will most definitely be back.

The location was great and the free kayaks they let us use made it worth it more so. We had alot of fun and enjoyed the old school hotel. It was beautiful. We liked that there wasn't a TV in the room, making us always out doing stuff- which was a bonus.

We go to the Inn on the River as often as we can for a quiet getaway from the city. The rooms were clean. The staff is phenomenal, very friendly and extremely accommodating! Being a pet friendly retreat is the cherry on top!

That we couldn't stay longer..... This job thing is getting in the way of out lives.

The owners are so welcoming, and we were treated like family. The breakfast is amazing and fresh, served in a beautiful room that overlooks the river. We loved the outdoor seating by the river. And thank you most of all for helping to keep our dog calm and make her feel welcome.

I absolutely loved our time here at a real B&B. It feels like what they used to be and should be but so hard to find these days.Family friendly staff and hospitality with a beautiful cooked breakfast. The room was comfortable, the loungers by the lake was the perfect spot to relax with a book.It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway from Dallas which is exactly what I wanted. I really hope to visit again someday.

View of the river was great, staff was very friendly l

The stairs ?, the restaurant on premises Snyders Tavern was slow and disorganized. It was highly recommended by the staff. I would not recommend or go there again

The owner has restored the Inn to the best status ever! It has been remodeled to a historical status with furnishings, repainted and replaced as needed, and made it a great retreat for family and companies. It's a great place to stay!
