    Pros +

    • Looking out the window it was beautiful at night
    • The location, nice vibe with a historic feel.
    • We love down town Bryan. This hotel has charm.

    Cons -

    • It smelled moldy/stuffy when you first walked in. They don't serve breakfast and it doesn't make sense. My shower had 4 long pieces of hair on the walls so I recleaned the shower. For it to be 3 stars I expected much more, very outdated. Parking was a mes
    • The train tracks are directly across the street and we were woken up several times due to that.
    • NO AIR! They had repair men there to fix A/C but it was not fixed when we came in that night. We were supposed to get a fan delivered to our room but it never was delivered. Extreamly uncomfortable conditions. We were not happy with our stay!

It is a while vibe! It is like entering the twilight zone. Everything looks older and from a different time but it is very clean. It is also fresh, most hotel rooms get hot. The trains do pass by at night but they offer free ear plugs.

There wasn¿t an actual parking lot. Street parking only. Not a big deal but just a warning to people with lots of luggage and kids. Also the coffee was the worst. There¿s a coffee shop walking distance though.

    Charm

No Refrigerator, Cheap furnishings in room and lack of amenities in room

The ambiance of the bar area outside

The air conditioning was bad- it was very warm in our room. The furniture was old and had water marks on it.

The location was nice and convenient

We went to our room upon arrival, door was open, with overwhelming smell of bleach that lasted four hours. We were only given one towel and dirty wash rag left in bathtub.

This hotel is fantastic if you want to experience a piece of Texas history. The sunset from our room was absolutely beautiful. My only suggestion would be blackout curtains to accompany the shades. Highly recommend!

The staff were premiere, top notch people. Desk team were smiling, happy people, eager to help with check in and questions about the amazing surrounding area. The Elixir Bar crew were outstanding, far exceeding expectations for a hotel bar.

It didn't bother me as I happily am a deep sleeper and graciously accepted the front desk warnings and offered ear-plugs, but the occasional train through town gave a few of our group flashbacks to the movie "My Cousin Vinny".

A/C made LOUD noise often - sounded like a bomb about to go off or something - so I had to turn it off. Then in the hallway a fire alarm (?) went off as well. Room had a musty smell. will not stay there again. Also windows had ugly shade, no curtains

    5Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-28-2017

    Bed was comfortable.

First room smelled like pot. Second rooms cable tv didn't work.

An older hotel with older qualities. It's exactly like a hotel you'd see in New Orleans. This is a neat hotel that is in great condition that has a lot of old school charm . Like something back in the 50' s and 60's. Great place to stay.

Excellent location downtown. Walk to great restaurants and shops

The train was occasionally loud. But they have earplugs

    Included breakfast

I needed extra pillows...they could not offer any..very weird for a hotel not to carry extra pillows. I am a fit and average sized person..they shower stall is cramped and too small. Charge for self serve coffee in lobby..strange?
