Hampton Inn Newport

It was 1 million times better than the best Western across the street. We were in Newport Tennessee. The best western sucked so even though I had a three day reservation for there I left and went across the street to. Do the Hampton Inn the best?

If anything, there was no microwave in the room, but no big deal just an extra additive if it would’ve been in there

The location was fantastic and the day staff during our extended style was fabulous

In our initial stay, we were put in a room that smelt like a wet dog later found out. That is their pet friendly Rome.

Large shower

Lighting in the room was very poor. We noticed blood stains on our comforter.

Convenient location, decent overall appearance

Cleaning was terrible. First room had dirt on the floor, toilet seat was not cleaned, and hair in the bed sheets. Second room also had dirt on the floor which I had cleaning staff re vacuum, and shower had multiple long hairs stuck to the walls.

There was a complimentary breakfast.

The door to our room was open when we arrived and there was a box of trash on the floor and hairs/ dirt on the counters. Went back downstairs to notify the staff and sat there for 20 minutes while they cleaned (at 10:30 at night with 2 kids under 4.

Did not like the fact that your room does not cleaned every day. You have to request clean towels. Also check in time is bad , because rooms are not ready. This was very upsetting especially after a 13 hour drive. The staff is over worked and moody.

They did not do room service for the second day. There were roaches in the room. It was confirmed to us that there is going to be microwave oven in the room but we still did not get microwave.

Great comfortable bed, convenience of location and good breakfast

Front desk staff was very friendly

Toilet rim was nasty also had to get a new bed cover bc the one on their had been used previously. Was dirty and had makeup on it. Have stayed here before and was clean but will not stay again.

Hotel employee at the front desk was exceptional. He was polite, knowledgeable & eager to assist in any way. The room was very clean

Cleanliness

We had an orange and water in a bag for breakfast. This was fine for my husband and I but my 3 years olds weren’t happy. I understand with COVID you have to be cautious but that was a huge disappointment.

It was close to the function I was attending.

The staff overseeing the breakfast were not present at all at the time I was there, and the sugar ran out and had to asked to be refilled.

They need to work on keeping an eye on room cleanliness, breakfast stocked, and noise levels in halls late in the evening.

Looks like a brand new hotel. Very clean!

Small pool right next to a back flow so it was a little stinky and very limited seating for breakfast.

Breakfast was great and the staff were all friendly.

There was one spot in the bathroom that someone had missed cleaning. It was out of the way & only my son would have discovered that someone had left a dirty makeup removal wipe under the countertop. Lol! Other than that one wipe, everything was perfect.
