Hampton Inn Newberry-Opera House

Our room was clean and comfortable. the manage on duty, was both professional and personable! She is a true asset to the hotel.

Boxes in hallways, old linens left outside elevator for both days. Staff not friendly. Hot water in bathroom took a long time to come through.

Location, clean,quiet.

Desk clerk was not very hospitable and had a difficult time finding our reservation and it took an extended period of time to check in. Had to have another person come to help. There was no clock or pen and paper in the room.

Breakfast was good and location was great

The rooms were not up to date. None of the sockets worked in my room so I have to sit downstairs to do my work. The computer times out and timed out so many times it took me until 3 am to finish my work. lady who checked me did not treat me fairly.

They had a great breakfast. Room was clean

Heat/air fan was so loud..kept me awake. Don't think the hotel room was worth --- Especially not in a vacationing area.

Staff was rude, room smelled musty, curtains were broken, ac didn¿t really work, it ran, but didn¿t seem to put out much cold air, nothing within walking distance was open on Sunday, which I guess may be a blue law thing down there.

It was close to restaurants and outer destination.

The walls were thin, you could hear other guests in their rooms.

AC was too noisy. Must be defective

Room was dirty. Bathroom had hair and red staining. Microwave, walls and light switches were greasy and dirty. Bed sheets had hair and little black dirt pebbles everywhere. Overall we felt discussed with the room. We checked in at 1am and left by 6am.

Staff was friendly and breakfast included hot and cold items. My daughter left her iPod in the room and even after checking out and housekeeping not finding it, we were welcomed to check ourselves and did in fact find it.

The room smelled like dirty/moldy carpet and the floor was filthy but we always wear shoes in hotel rooms. Not sure how well housekeeping cleaned since my daughter's missing iPod was later found by my husband btwn the mattress and wall.

We went down to breakfast at 930 and everything was gone. I have atYed at other Hampton Inns and the breakfast is there til 10 and the refresh if need be. All that was left was cereal and few left over pieces of bacon. Very disappointed in that.

Location. A bonus was how luxurious the room was. The breakfast selection was also very good.

Very clean and updated. Very close to venue that we were attending.

Breakfast was mostly gone when we arrived approximately 9:00 a.m.

The Hilton Group has a sign at the front desk saying if you are using a debit card to pay for your room they will put a hold on the card a charge of 25 dollars a night for incidentals. They charged us 50 for 1 night and 8 days to come off the card.

It is was a Hampton Inn and they are always roomy with a nice breakfast.

They were doing some remodeling and people in front of us didn't get their rooms.

Damn stupid front desk staff! I booked for 4 days, she set up the key for 1 day. I was in a hurry to go back to my room the following day but it's locked out. Was late for a meeting.The toilet didn't flush so I had to hold it long. Worst!

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good & rooms were clean

Parking lot was slanted and on a hill, hard to load cars.

The room smelled like pine-sol cleaner.
