Holiday Inn Philadelphia W - Drexel Hill

Pros +

• The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. I come to the area every 2-3 weeks and have stayed here one other time. Both of my stays in this hotel were excellent!!
• My mother stayed here about 6 wks while her home was ready to move in. The service provided to her was stellar. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful & polite to her and to me while visiting her daily. Amenities were all great as well!!
• Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Parking was free, area around the hotel was quiet on a weekday.

Cons -

• Given location, there are probably more longer stays for more than 2 weeks than just me,& there should be a room rate/package to accommodate that option.
• Not very solidly built, the heavy-footed night-owls upstairs kept me up past midnight. Window shade doesn't keep room dark in the morning, I was up before 6am. Restaurant not open for dinner some days despite hotel's listing, and nothing is close.
• At 2 in the morning, I was woken up by drunk adults who were partying and hanging out in the hallway, screaming obscenities for all to hear. Then I was woken up again to the smell of smoke, which was very scary.Did not get rest that night.
