I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. It is perfect for my needs on this trip.

What we like best about this hotel is the price and patriotism. The room rate was cheap ($--- - 2 double beds); we were just passing by so we only needed the rooms to sleep overnight. The lobby decor was about America which was awesome to see.

I did not stay for the night. The television was inoperable and they couldnt give me a king size bed. We left and checked into the Hampton Inn across the street.
This is my go-to when traveling to & from Philadelphia. Best beds in any hotel in the area under 5 stars. As an older female I love how safe the atmosphere is.

Attentive staff. And not just housekeeping or front desk. Everyone was on the same page: to attend to guests' comfort. Even workers who were installing new carpeting and removing old beds were helpful. Really a plus for the hotel. Ellis coffee delicious!

Lots of space. We brought our 25 yr old son to visit family with us and he had his own BR and BA. Also picked up some eggs and other food items and enjoyed my breakfasts more than high price dining out for breakfast

Top Tips
- Book hotels within 0.5 miles of Downingtown SEPTA station for direct regional rail access to Philadelphia; trains reach Center City in approximately 45-50 minutes. Confirm schedule for late arrivals, as evening service windows may vary.
- Hotels located along US-30 offer quick highway access and typically provide free onsite parking, ideal for road trips or longer stays. Downtown Main Street properties may have stair access and limited lot space, so confirm step-free or accessible room options in advance if needed.
- Travel times to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) range from 35-60 minutes by car, depending on local traffic patterns. Check if your hotel offers shuttle service or arrange a pre-booked taxi or rideshare (approx. $70-$110 USD one-way); allow extra time for airport security during peak hours.
- Midweek rates often increase by 10-25% due to high demand from Exton and Great Valley corporate parks (within 10 miles). For best rates and availability, book your stay 1-3 weeks in advance, especially Tuesday through Thursday nights.
- Many midscale hotels charge nightly pet fees ($15-$50 USD) and may set limits on parking lot capacity. Verify both pet policies and parking availability before confirming your reservation to avoid unexpected charges.
- Restaurants in downtown Downingtown generally close by 9-10 pm. For late-night food options or 24/7 chain dining, choose hotels on US-30. Consider requesting in-room amenities like refrigerators, microwaves, or grab-and-go breakfast if you anticipate late arrivals.
