Pros +

The location
nothing...it's where people go to die
This hotel has been there for 40-50 years by my folks house, probably built in the 60's. The management was excellent service. And they had done a very good job at updating and maintaining this older hotel. Basic + nice + clean for John Day Oregon.

Cons -

It was dirty, the ac/heater smelled bad when you used them. The coffee maker in room didnÂ¿t work. The pillows smelled like dirty hair The room was non smoking but we could smell smoke from other units The couch in room felt dirty
this place is filthy, disgusting, and appears unsafe
Pool not open, looks like it needs renovation. But the management was so nice, you feel like understanding they are "working on it"

One staff member attempted to be accommodating,

room was not clean, I had to clean it up, leaf litter in the bed, hair on pillows, and in tub bugs and spiders in room. Rm phone cord pulled from wall, fridge so loud could not sleep, unplugged it. After finding multiple large spiders had to leave early
