Beautiful Old Inn feel, great location close to Stony Brook campus

Our room had no views just roof tops on all sides even though we were right near the water

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptionably comfortable. The bathroom was up-to=date and sparkling.

We were disappointed in staff response to our needs. No one at the desk to check us in, no instructions on key entry to our room. Room location through a noisy bar and up a steep flight of stairs.

It is very beautiful. The cottage is very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely book this place again.

pillows: lumpy/ uncomfortable. ,MOST IMPORTANT,I suggest this at every hotel, the abominable waste of plastic and rubbish MUST be avoided for our planet. NO MORE USELESS MINI BOTTLES OF SOAP, CONDITIONER, BODY LOTION. REFILLABLE SHOWER MOUNTS & SINK.

Location and view were great.

We had trouble finding where to check in. Once we did it took 20 minutes. It was 10 pm, pouring rain and we had been driving around for 15 minutes. The parking attendant did not know where to check in, he was actually outside the correct location.

Felt like I was in a cabin or the staff boarding behind the hotel . Toilet seat and toilet were old and scratched up , bathroom was in poor condition . Room was bare bones with old furniture . Restaurant and bar were so quiet we decided to pass

I’ve stayed before and it’s always been great. This time was the worst experience I had at any hotel ever

there is a horrible mold problem. I woke up with my throat closed and my eyes puffy. I went to doctor and they suggested I call the board of health. Also rowdy drunk men from room 17 came up to my girlfriend in parking lot and annoyed her.

Our room was in half of a small, charming building. We had our own entrance and parking lot. There was a little garden in the back. The room was huge! With a kitchen, it would have made a nice studio apartment. The beds were big and comfy.

We had to wait a long time for the breakfast, but when it came it was very nice - had everything, eggs, toast, sausage, home fries, fruit and coffee.

Restaurant tavern onsite was excellent with good food. Large cottage room. Free WiFi.

Room was outdated and not at the expected level of cleanliness.

There was an odor in the room that may have been from the air conditioner?

Rooms are very dated. No refrigerator or blackout shades in the room. Cleaning could have been a lot better.

Location near the harbor & the view from our room; the small pebble beach adjacent, perfect for a walk; small room was clean but unattractive, sturdy & functional coffee table.

GAS fireplace should be electric during this time of climate change; broken bench at end of bed nearly collapsed; pillows that were too hard (small thing: summery white & pastel decorating more seasonal by changing artwork?)

Quiet, private, clean, with friendly helpful innkeeper, comfortable room, convenient parking

No overnight staff or number to call with any issues, couldn’t figure out the TV setup

The breakfast was excellent and was the staff.

There was a tear or worn spot on the upholstered headboard. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The stopper to the sink was missing. Time for a refresh.

There was no food available only a Keurig in room

The bed was very high. Luckily there was a hassock to use to get into the bed. Somewhat disappointed with this room. We have travelled to many countries and thought that this room could not have been a superior room,

Location was great.

No breakfast. Dinner was very expensive.

Not happy

For $350 a night there should have been at the very least a comfort package with soap, coffee, towels, washcloths if you aren’t making the bed or vacuuming. Covid is over. Hire folks for room service. We have stayed at less expensive places and we got our bed made and fresh amenitiesHad to call 3 days each night /morning to get coffee, towels. You could have left them at the door at least without us having to call. Sorry big fail. We booked it through booking.com. Never saw anything in paperwork. At very least told us at checkin that you do nothing for $350 a night. Diane and Steve Kerkhoff

Location for our needs was great.Brunch on Sunday morning was delicious but wait staff was small and slow. Service below average.Rooms were fine. Old and classic. Romantic, but certainly antiquated with a phone that didn't work and lamps / lights that didn't all work.
