Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Rochester Downtown

My guess never stayed in the 7 rooms booked. Hotel told them they have any rooms and they were unprofessional. I would like my refund asap.

The staff was rude and unprofessional, they told my guess they didn't have the 7 rooms, and that their key card system wasn't working. I would like my refund. Since my guest weren't able to check in because no rooms were available.

A/C works. Clean, comfortable room. Cool local eateries. Amazing shower. Enjoyed the mounted toiletry bottles. Close to The Strong Museum. Delicious hot breakfast. Polite & helpful staff.

I forgot my shorts at home and couldn't use the inviting indoor pool.

Pictures of the hotel made it seem like every room had a balcony which it didn't and the room was overpriced... Nearly $400 for one night I won't be staying again..

The location can't be beat if you're staying with your family and plan to go to the Strong Museum. It was walking distance to the Library and many restaurants. The staff at the front desk were great and did their best to help and inform. Doug was especially helpful.

We underestimated how crazy it would be to come during Winter Break. The hotel was understandably full and quite busy so our room wasn't ready at check-in. We waited an hour in the lobby with no estimated time for when a room would be ready. Thankfully Doug was able to find us an available room.

Close to our various destinations.

Need more parking lot space. I realize there is a parking garage next door where tickets are validated but in the winter time it’s nice to be able to park close to the hotel building.

The location, staff, amenities,food were all good .The Christmas decorations were really beautiful .The whole esthetics of the property is lovely..The beds were clean and comfy..

The only issue was the lower faucet in the bathtub was not working properly so all the water was not coming out in the shower.We did report the issue to front desk they came up to fix it but it was still the same so hopefully they will get the plumber to fix the problem.!!

The room was very clean and well appointed. The included breakfast was good.

The bed was so high that I had trouble getting into it. The quilt was too heavy.

There are no sheets for bedding for the pull-out couch in the room. I ended up calling for bedding and pillows. The first time they brought one sheet. I called again asking for a blanket, and they brought two pillows, but they never brought a blanket. I didn't want to bother by calling again for the third time, so I lent my daughter my sweatshirt.

Free Breakfast is always a bonus and the restaurant & bar is a nice addition. The outdoor area was nice as well. Staff were professional.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I felt everything was perfect.

The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations. There was a huge variety of items and it was all quite good. The building was very modern and the beds were comfortable.

It was a little overpriced, in my opinion. The dinner menu at the restaurant in the hotel wasn’t great and the live music was too loud to be able to have a conversation.

Best Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at! Staff were very friendly, excellent breakfast, the bar was very nice and the Thursday night jazz was unexpected and very good! Location was nice for the wedding we came in to town for. Also easy access to numerous walking/running trails!!

Staff were friendly and infomative and helpful when approached. The morning buffet was open for both early and late risers and had a good assortment of options for all (especially kids), and I would also pack a bit extra to cover lunch/snacks for the rest of the day. The lobby was welcoming, connected to a restaurant/lounge with good food options for dining out in the evening. Rooms were clean, no signs of bed bugs during ou3 3 night stay. The pool was clean, quiet - fun for the kids - and again, open long hours. The gym looked great but I had no time to use with the kids around. Location was also directly next door to the Strong Museum which was fun for the kids. Overall, great hotel option!

Parking- small parking lot and one time we didn't have space - staff was great though because we then parked at The Strong Museum and hotel validated the parking the next day. Pool - my husband's only complaint was that the pool wasn't outdoors.

Friendly staff, very very clean, spacious rooms.

The breakfast was ok. Not bad but not exceptional. However, there were three hot elements to breakfast every day and on several occasions there was no hot offering other than toast that didn’t include meat. My wife is pescatarian so the best she was able to do on the days she could have anything other than boiled eggs and toast was scrambled egg.

Cleanliness.

Breakfast - hard boiled egg was frozen and tasted bad.

New, modern and clean

Bathroom was great (shower especially), very clean and tidy. Amenities appear like new, not old or overly used.

The price was high for me.
