Best Western Potsdam University Park Inn, NY

Professional and kind reception, easy access to room plenty of parking clean and remodeled room. Free bottles of water . Beautiful welcoming lobby area. Warm and comfortable on a very cold night.

Only two towels no washcloths or hand towels or bath mat. No concession with food or toiletries for sake.

Quiet, historical, boutique hotel.

Needs a better breakfast

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Great included breakfast, nice room. Great hotel!

The blinds did not block light well enough. Blackout drapes would be a great addition.

I thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us.

The only thing that was inconvenient was the toilet height. The toilet was a little low for myself.

Friendly staff, very conveniently located, nice common areas, large and well-furnished room.

Much more could be done to reduce plastic in the hotel overall, starting with fewer cups, eliminating individually-wrapped plastic utensils at breakfast, bottled water in plastic bottles in the rooms, etc.

The location was perfect.

The mattress was too hard for what I like and I didn't care for the breakfast. I would have liked a little more variety at breakfast. Maybe some fruit and cereal or pancakes.

The location and half of the staff

No elevator. Main areas were dirty carpets needed some attention Check in front desk not very pleasant,they were playing on their phones every time you walked down the big staircase , was even video chatting.

It is a bit dated but has that classic feel and close to campus it is the best location.

Could use a makeover but I will stay there again.

Sink was stained and needs to be replaced. Otherwise the room was very nice.

The room was absolutely gorgeous. Spacious with all the extras you want, including microwave, fridge and coffee maker with 4 complimentary K-cups.

The only minor hitch is that the room was on the second floor, and there is no elevator. This means dragging up the suitcase a flight of stairs.

The staff seemed aloof. Just a little more attention to details, like staying off cell phone while working the front desk...

The location is excellent, the 2 staff members during check in was pleasant albeit one was preoccupied. The woman at check out was very pleasant & informative.

House keeping needs work, the bathroom sink was below par and lighting fixtures at my eye level was dusty from several weeks of neglect. I don¿t watch tv so it wasn¿t an issue for me but the TV remote was missing. The room did need a bit of fresh air.

. When we walked in the lobby we noticed that the carpets were ripped off and being replaced. It¿s still on the process. The front desk lady was nice enough. Just feel with the price we paid it¿s okay and also the hair blower is out of order

The hotel is amazing. The grounds, the river, the rooms. The room are fully decorated to my standards. The is a small Refrigerator and Microwave. Nice bathroom and the beds are comfortable.

Charming

Check I was 3pm but room was not ready and they were in no hurry. I pushed, finally in at 3.45. I arrived at 2pm. Sink in room leaky, toilet running, missing blind, only thin blanket on bed in the cold winter . Heater in room very loud. Breakfast b

It was our first experience in a hotel since the pandemic started - and the only reason we felt it necessary was we were getting our second vaccination (we are 81 and almost 66) and a snowstorm was looming... Our experience at The Clarkson Inn was GREAT.

Well - with one wonderful young woman manning both the counter AND cleaning the rooms - she wasn't at the front desk when we arrived. But considering her hard work, and immediate response when called, we can hardly hold it against her. She was delightful.

The first room we got the tv did not work. We went to the front desk and had them get us a new room

I've read mixed reviews on this Hotel and passed it up on numerous trips to Potsdam area. Its a must on my list from now on. Very charming Hotel conveniently located to Clarkson college, Potsdam college and downtown.

Beautiful hotel. Large very lovely rooms. Right downtown. close to restaurants and a 5 minute drive to the arenas for our hockey tournament. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
