Staff, not customer friendly, response when trying to contact prior to staying

Staff are so helpful and go above and beyond. The location is great!

The hotel was a fine stay.

Administration staff who charged us twice for the room and it took multiple phone calls and emails for them to agree they had done so, and to reimburse the extra accom price - then they charged us $45 for room services that we didn't use. They acknowledged this was an error, but I have still NOT been reimbursed this overcharge. Beware!!

We arrived at 8 AM after a 12-hour flight and were pleasantly surprised to be given our rooms immediately at no extra charge. The hotel is new and beautiful, with stylish, spacious rooms (especially large for New York) and exceptional cleanliness. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful newly renovated hotel in the center of NYC in the nomad neighborhood. Very spacious rooms with high ceilings and comfy beds and large shower. Very nicely decorated and great lighting.

Mini bar could use better options. Rooftop and restaurant still under construction with no spa as well.

We love this hotel! It is a great location for us as our daughter lives nearby!

The apartments were very comfort, linens , towels new and very clean , appartments especially bathroom was very clean . We fell like at home . View from the appartments amazing . The staff very friendly , I am traveling a lot but I never saw this kind of sevice from the staff . Every time they are going to help you and find good deal , a lot of thanks to all staff .

For a visit in late August, the king room with a balcony was well worth the extra money. So nice to have an outdoor area to sit with my coffee. The bathroom is lovely with a huge shower and super-premium products. They give 2 large bottles of premium water per stay. Every day they give a voucher for 2 items (coffee, pastry, etc.) from Matto, a wonderful coffee bar across the street. Sheets, pillow and mattress were very good. Love that they had a clothes steamer.

Would have liked a Roku TV. The casting didn't work very well so had to watch on my computer.

The location of the hotel was great. The staff was pleasant in the face of an on-going A-C issue.

This is not the review I thought I would write since this hotel was high on my list. However, when checking in to the hotel we were informed that the entire building had been without A-C since early morning on Aug. 15. When we left on Aug 19, after 4 steamy nights, the A-C was still an issue. During our stay we spoke and communicated with the hotel (sending pictures of the thermostat readings, as requested) and also communicated with Booking. On Aug. 18 the hotel messaged that because of the "inconvenience" they could offer a discount (unspecified amount) on a future booking. I have messaged the hotel twice since then and have not received a reply as of Aug. 22. Much time and energy during our 4 day stay was used in communication with the hotel and with Booking. It was frustrating and sad. BTW, the hotel restaurant is under major renovation and each guest is given a voucher for 2 items at the take-away coffee shop across the street. Choices for seating are benches on the street or benches in the entrance at the hotel.
