Holiday Inn Express Amherst - Lockport by IHG

Having asked for a quiet room, we were put in a room overlooking freeway, next to the lifts and ice machine with a noisy aircon unit

Breakfast was available till 10am which allowed us to sleep in a bit longer. Check out time of 12 pm allowed us to take our time to pack our stuff without rushing.

The place is clean! new! nice big room!

The AC unit is loud! Have to turn it off to get some sleep!

Large, clean rooms, very comfortable beds and bedding.

The location was great, the food was awesome, and the room and the hotel were very clean. The staff were excellent!

Cleanliness

You could hear everything that was going on outside the room. You could hear the people above you next to your room. Heard a baby crying early in the morning around 0130. Made it very difficult to sleep.

Location, location, location! It is very close to our family. It is still in new condition, clean and quiet. Plus a great breakfast! Everything we need!

This is an extremely well run hotel, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and great location - a cross the road from New York Beer Project! We loved the place.

New and clean. Restroom was very roomy. Hot water with good pressure. Coffee and hot water at lobby 24/7. Washer and dryer available first floor reasonable price. Walmart was like 10¿ away.

AC could be loud.

We loved how clean the room was. The central location in Lockport was great for our purposes of visiting family. Breakfast was good and everything in the dining area looked clean and appealing.

The only thing we did not like was that we could hear the people above us really easily. May not be good for light sleepers but overall this was not a huge issue for us.

Beds poorly made, lamp did not work, no bath towels, empty shampoo and conditioner bottles, no hair dryer as advertised, had to ask for more toilet tissue, no channel instruction for TV, water an d banging noise in walls

Friendly staff. Cleanliness. Excellent spread in the breakfast buffet.

Nope. Everything was good except Amenities. Not many amenities were not close by except NYBP.

It is new and relatively clean.

This was a terrible stay. There were late teens/early 20s people continually coming in and out of the hotel and I was by an exit. They were yelling and screaming in the halls, the parking lot, etc. When I went to the front desk I had to stand and wait.

The breakfast was cold and undercooked. On a happy note the coffee was hot and fresh.

Polite customer service, clean facility, workout room was clean smelling and not a gym locker room. Breakfast pretty good. Pool was very relaxing. Our room was fabulous, the bed was like sleeping on clouds. Holiday in is now my new go to place.

The only negative thing we can say about the place is the shower head. Yes the shower head needs some serious help. It is so high up that when it come to rinsing the Sun don¿t shine areas it just don¿t cut it. Other than that, nothing else negative at a

The property is well maintained and conveniently located for our visit.

The weekend/holiday staff was not up to what I expect from IHG - speaking to the manager as we checked out there were training issues due to the covid delays in opening. Hopefully it will improve soon.
