The Sundowner on Lake George

4 star hotels do not have power cords running to a high plug 7.5 ft above the floor. 4 star hotels have coffee makers in the room. this is maybe a 2 star and way overpriced.

Not really just wasn't a very appealing room,aged. No iron.The rug had a big in print were an iron melted it's impression into it. Probably why no iron. Couple lights didn't work. Hot water kept changing temp from hot to cold like the toilet got flushed

The pool was warm

The 1st room had no ac, no hot wster, and floor was filthy. 2nd room had a flea and 2 other bugs, no microwave at all...noise most of night, and a bicycle cable bolted to the molding of the door to serve as the door lock. (U wrap the cord around the knob)

Proximity to walking downtown. Private beach.

Fridge did not work. Only one microwave for all rooms located at top of property.

The private beach. And the walking distance in the town and all the way to Fort William Henry was excellent.

Not one single person was at this property— I was a single woman traveling alone and did not feel like this was a safe situation I did finally get ahold of the property and they told me someone was there but I took pics of packages sitting at the closed office

While my fiance and I had a short stay due to some time constraints, we did enjoy ourselves. The staff left us the key in the room since we ended up arriving very late and left the little fireplace on for us. The room was very clean and the jacuzzi tub was so nice to use. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was well equipped. I just wish we had more time to stay, and we will definitely be back!

Maybe some waters in the fridge would be my only complaint.

Nowhere comfortable to sit in room.

Location, renovation was nice, but our room layout was a bit awkward and the “kitchenette” wasn’t real useable. That was a wasted upgrade in price.

Kitchenette layout was not well done or very useable. Just used fridge, microwave and coffee pot, and had to rearrange to do that. Office hours were limited.

Loved interior. The location was great as it's downtown near the late. Wished we had time to take the kayaks out and to enjoy the firepit as we were there only one night.

Deceptive! Description stated SUITE had 3 beds fireplace and BBQ. When we got there we had 2 queen beds...no biggie but no suite BBQ or fireplace. "Lisa" stated we did have a fireplace and bbq- yes the motel did but not the suite. She blamed booking for changing the description. In fact they did have those units. I over paid for what I received. Bad attitude will

Loved the cabin feel and space

Pool, hot tub, staff was helpful, room was well appointed, clean, lots of kayaks, and a sandy beach that was easily accessible, close to everything in Lake George.

Very tight parking, property was narrow and difficult to navigate. The bathroom door was a sliding barn door. Not much privacy.

The property was clean and bright. The rooms were decorated rustic, charm, and comfort. Everything looked new and well kept.The pool was cleaned every day and the flowers were gorgeous. The garbage was picked up and the staff were very nice.

Honestly liked everything about it. If I had to say one thing, I would say the beach area is a little small, but there is a grassy area as well that has additional chairs and the kayaks and paddle boats being free are such a nice touch. So with a huge lake and places to go, the smaller beach area is fine.

The view was great from our room. The rooms were beautiful and cozy. A short walk to town and lots of good food and activities close by.

I thought the pool area left little to be desired. Concrete was broken in a few spots, and not many lounge chairs available - 4 to be exact. It would be nice to have tea and coffee in the reception area for guests like some of the other resorts have. The beach on the lake is very small, which was disappointing.
