Holiday Inn Express & Suites Riverhead - Long Island by IHG

The staff, location, full breakfast, & room are all first rate.

Just be aware of when the Riverhead Raceway has events. Fireworks show is a plus, but noise level can be intrusive. To be sure, the events are not that frequent.

The Bed was extremely comfortable

The room thermostat was not working properly, and we couldn't adjust the temp. The bathroom sink faucet and shower were very hot. Dangerously hot. It took a long time to regulate back to cool water.

Breakfast was well stocked with great options like bacon eggs and cinnamon rolls. Hotel was also extremely clean!

Pleasant receptionists

This hotel backs up to the most horrendous noisiest raceway with cars speeding and whining until the late evening hours. JUST AWFUL

No breakfast

Cheerful staff, very clean environment and good breakfast. The receptionists were kind and informative; my favorite was Diane.

The rooms are very big and clean and the staff is very friendly. The pancake machine in the breakfast room was fun for the kids.

I did not realize that we would hear the noise from Riverhead Raceway. It finally stopped around 10 pm but was very loud for a couple of hours.

The location suited our needs and is what I liked most.

We did not like the quality and the Limited choices of the breakfast. They had no options for people with dietary needs,food sensitivities intolerances, or allergies. They were out of the basics,staff stated that they ordered the stock weeks in advance

Spacious rooms, great breakfast. Clean place, 30 min from The Hamptons.

They didn't have a full box of facial tissue in the room, we ran out and they couldn't provide us any at the front desk, we had to use toilet paper instead.

Elevator sign says free shuttle service some restaurants, I called to arrange,told 'No,' & handed Riverhead Taxi Co card, driver ripped me off $50.00, I called til he refunded stolen $ to front desk. Next day got free shuttle. Desk staff not always there.

The curtains were broken so I couldn't let much light in. The breakfast was poor - waited over a half hour for replacement of eggs & bacon. Cinnamon rolls never showed up. No waffles. Not a great experience.

The furniture had a bad smell. Like someone vomited somewhere and they couldn¿t clean it up. Gross.

The room was by an exit and the door banged continually until late at night and very early in AM. I didn¿t feel safe. A man was in the hall calling out to someone in the room across the hall after 11:30pm. Found a tic in the room. Room had poor lighting

Since I was not able to travel by plane to see my children due to covid- I decided to stay in a tranquil place and chose this hotel- TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- The first night called staff due to heavy smoking- marihuana next door- dogs barking-loud talking

Breakfast was very poor- portion controlled- I felt very unsafe- People coming in and out from staircases connecting outside with no supervision. The hotel is clean/ pretty. After I complained I was moved to an upgraded and almost isolated room. thanks
