    Pros +

    • Location and restaurant
    • I liked that the location was very quiet but close enough to walk to more active areas. Also, I was able to find street parking right by the front door to the hotel on a busy weekend. I also liked the art/decor.
    • Easy, clean, nice enough, great surroundings.

    Cons -

    • Late room housekeeping or none at all No water bottles in the fridge
    • The tea cups they have in the rooms are really small so you would need to make 5 cups of tea to equal a mug. They just should have mugs.
    • TP low grade

The location was right near the Pulaski bridge so I saw a section of Brooklyn that I was least familiar with. Loved having the bar... convenient.

I had to ask for a blanket for our loft; think it should have been in the room. Also I didn't know we were in the section without an elevator and my parents are 90+ years old; one with a bad back and one with knee issues. The front desk did offer help

    convenient location

    Very nice and fresh

The restaurant and bar aren’t open every day. The sauna is near the wellness area but could be more than just that room.

It was clean, comfortable, a good location close to transportation, friendly and helpful staff.

It was a bit pricey by Midwest standards, especially since breakfast and a shuttle was not included.

Great location and value for the money. Just a short walk to the subway and 3 stops later we were in Manhattan

The hotel has quite a cool decor. Perhaps a little bit favouring style over practicality. Greenpoint is a very cool area of New York and staff were friendly.

The credit card authorisation was a little confusing and took a long time to be cleared from my account after checkout. The rooms are quirky so require a bit of getting used to.

It was huge. Really liked the decor.

A little further north, but the value was exactly what we wanted so we just had to walk a little further to our son's house.

    Clean, pretty and comfortable

It was obvious that our room was ready when we asked to enter around 2. Pm. But we had to wait.

Very pleasant and welcoming hotel in Brooklyn Greenpoint. Nice, confortable bedroom and bathroom, very confortable bed. Tea and coffee to start the day. Very nice and welcoming staff. Reasonable price for NYC, ideal for a stay in Greenpoint. A much better option than the expensive and unwelcoming neighbour hotel Franklin Guesthouse (avoid it as much as you can)

Closed rooftop terrace, a pity as the view is great. No body lotion.

    Continental breakfast was delicious.

We were on the 4th floor and were not told there would be a wedding and afterparty directly above us that lasted until 12:30 in the morning.

The entire hotel smelled like weed including our room. The pullout couch was advertised but there were no sheets or pillows to make the bed. Found a cockroach in the bathroom.

The hotel is beautiful and the room was giant by NYC standards. The views are incredible, bed is comfy, decor is well thought out and lovely. The staff makes this property. Kristina and Vitali were standouts for me during my stay. Vitali is professional, courteous, thoughtful, and friendly, and an excellent first impression of your hotel. Kristina is a great front desk rep; a great listener and she made me feel like a VIP from the get. The bar next door has my single favorite bartender, Dave, after I was there three nights in a row. I honestly see him as a friend now and he's a great asset even though it seems The Brooklyn Lantern is a standalone business.

The only areas of improvement I have are so minor - 3rd floor ice maker didn't work well at all so I went to the 2nd floor for ice (I know, poor, poor me haha), the room wasn't super clean after housekeeping came. Also, why no wash cloths? That was weird but again, these are really not big issues -just small areas of room for improvement. The lighting in the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. I know LED lights are more environmentally responsible but you could use some warmer light! I think they make warmer LEDS now so perhaps that's an inexpensive fix?It would be nice to have a mini bar option with wine and sodas and snacks since the bar isn't attached to the hotel.

Simply Beautiful Hotel Lobby, rooms, workout facility, nice little bar and nice bartenders and cook,...Jay's Special was awesome,...I'll get the Jay's Special 2.0 next time in.

    Nothing comes to mind.

Attractive facilities with good amenities in a convenient location

didn't have a hand towel. fan over the bed was noisy so I turned it off.

    9YongPosted on: 1-19-2026

Everything was good but ONE issue was one night they making very very noises moving something most until 6am

They should let me know before doing any moving

    10DebraPosted on: 1-19-2026

Clean and spacious loft room. Loved the location to everything walkable.

    6ThaliaPosted on: 1-19-2026

Love the design and staff was great.

Don’t think it was worth the price and online pictures made it seem bigger. There were no sheets/extra comforter for the couch (which I thought was a pullout bed but was not) just a flimsy blanket, and no where to park in the area.
