Pros +
- Staff at front desk was outstanding
- room decor was nice
- Room size and appointments
Cons -
- Room doors slamming at all hours housekeeping was the worst offender
- elevator was not working had to walk downstairs to exit the hotel with my luggage
- Staff friendliness and attentiveness was highly variable. The room should include free coffee and tea (there was a charge for it). Skimpy on the soap and mini-bar offerings.

Room size and appointments
Loved the quiet, spacious and comfortable room, blackout curtains, mini fridge, desk and sitting area. Both restaurants and the bagel shop were excellent and convenient. Great access to transit into Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn. Would stay here again for all the positives.

Great, nicely appointed and comfy room on the top floor - SOOO quiet up there, except for the very low hum and rumble of the subway, which we found comforting. The rate for Sunday night was also quite good for relative luxury and great atmosphere in a convenient and central location in Brooklyn.
Friendly staff, good-sized room and good atmosphere. Ideal location opposite the subway to get into the city and a short walk away from stores, food spots and other local hotspots.
AC unit was slightly loud, specifically when wanting to keep the room warm at night.

Nice and quiet
Would love a quiet bar area on Fri/Sat nights for those of us not interested in the DJ chaos.A little weak on morning options for coffee, bakery etc. Getting to the rooms of our other parties was frustratingly prison like....
Great location not even a block from the ACE, so super easy to get to from Penn Station. The hotel itself was really cool, I loved the atmosphere and the size of the room was perfect. I got back from an event at 11pm and found that there was a live DJ in the lobby bar area but couldn't hear it at all from my room on the fifth floor, absolutely amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, the bed comfy, shower nice, highly recommend!
Nothing :)
The staff were awesome, they nicely gave me a corner room as a surprise which was nice cause it was my birthday. The aura is amazing! The rooms are up to date. This will be the only place I will stay from now on when I go to Brooklyn
It’s a bit pricey, every thing cost money even the tea and coffee in the rooms lol
The location of the hotel is great if you want to spend time in certain parts of Brooklyn. The room was a nice size, bed was comfortable and overall it had a nice vibe.
No free coffee or tea in the room or even in the lobby, which most hotels offer, especially at this price point. It's a small thing that goes a long way. It really irked me that for paying almost $500 a night you don't get a least that. Plus the staff at the reception is not the friendliest bunch, it almost seems that they'd rather be somewhere else.
• Great location with easy access to cafés, shops, and the subway.• Stylish interior and atmosphere throughout the hotel.• The room was spacious, which is a big plus in New York.
• The front desk was not as friendly or welcoming as I had hoped.• The room shook whenever the subway passed, which might be an issue for light sleepers.• There was a constant mechanical or boiler-like noise, so the room was never completely quiet.
The general vibe is very cool, really enjoyed the lobby area to hang out in. It can be tricky to find a spot because people come to work, that do not stay in the hotel, but it also makes the area vibrant! The room was clean and felt modern.
The area is great for easy access to both manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn, but the immediate surroundings don’t have nice restaurants or shops. Feels a bit grubby when you get out of the subway. The gym is functional but I would expect a better one at a hotel like this
Staff attitude
Ugly room design, lack of basic amenities, high price, room view.
The room I booked was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Staff was helpful and lobby was great for drinks and as a coworking space. Room, linen and towels were clean. The room can be fully blacked out. It is obvious that the hotel has a unique theme in decor and it is nice, wooden furniture, but it lacks practical things.
Sound isolation is very poor and you can hear people in the rooms nearby. Isolation from the street is good, but the inside one is really bad and you can hear maids in the hall and doors being shut. The bathroom doesn't have ventilation exhaust and if you don't open the door while taking a shower you get a steamed bath. Our room had a lot of space, but there wasn't actually a lot of space to unpack. We had a couch and armchair and working desk and chair, but not really surfaces to put out clothes.
The lounge seems a great place to hang out and have a drink. Room was small but ok. Bed was comfortable.
The staff at reception with long nails should not be dealing with costumers, the most unfriendly, rude approach. You could feel the subway from the room on the 4th floor.
Nice atmosphere, good food optiions, nice room and very quiet. Great location.
Mattress was comfortable but a bit too soft, lighting over the bathroom mirror was not great, hairdryer not good. Some staff were very nice and helpful but a couple of reception staff were not so.
Very clean and relatively large room. Perfect location for subway use (A and C line to Manhattan, also to and from JFK via airtrain+subway). Great vibe, friendly staff.
Tv could a have a couple more stations (it had espn but no cbs, nbc…)
Location, comfort & vibe
2 of the 3 elevators were not working on the day of checkout - so big delays
Excellent corner room, comfotable bed, good reception, welcoming atmosphere.
The unrequested (for purchace) snacks & drinks taking up space in fridge & counter top
