    Pros +

    • Location and smoke free.
    • Spacious room, courtesy bottle of wine, close to everything including the strip.
    • Nice accommodations for price in LV!

    Cons -

    • The water went out and produced brown water. We couldn’t bathe our last 24 hours in the hotel. It was disgustingly. The front desk people also kept misrepresenting what was happening.
    • Ac went out and never got fixed by staff and tv was not working first day of our trip.
    • Hotel restaurant understaffed.

    Spacious

Very old fashioned. The air conditioning was difficult to manage. The screen was broken so couldn’t see the temperature gauge. Cleaning our room was also optional which was very bizarre for a hotel. Breakfast was not included. For me and wife it cost $124 to have breakfast for two over two days which seems extortionate.

    Spacious room, clean

    Shower water pressure was pathetic.

I liked the location, which allowed us to view the Sphere from the 12th floor, a short walk away, with easy access to the car, their onsite parking lot, destination charger.

It was a quieter location away from the strip a couple blocks but still near shops restaurants. It had free parking and the garage wasn’t very full. The suite had a washer and dryer and they upgraded me to that level for free. It had a nice two person tub The staff was respectful and friendly, and the restaurants were good.

The shower took forever to get warm, but they did fix it when I was there. The decor in the room, especially the kitchen looked 20 years old. There were issues with the elevator, not going to the floor where my car was located for a day, but they fix that. The climate control in the room had some issues with turning on and the thermostat itself seemed worn out. The balcony door lock was difficult to lock and unlock. There were a couple of long black hairs in the bed and one somewhere else in the room.

The nearness to The strip was great and we loved being a bit separate from that area. We enjoyed the bar downstairs as it was quiet and a nice break from the craziness of the big casinos.

Be aware that it also functions as a long-term rental so room cleaning is not daily unless you request it. The bed and pillows were not too comfy.

Nice lobby with happy hour and appetizers available. Large room, good shower. Convenient parking garage. On site restaurant. View of the sphere from the hallway; maybe from some rooms.

Rooms very bland and dated. Lots of pillows, all identically too hard. Only black coffee provided in restaurant and pathetic Starbucks vending machine in lobby.

    6ChristinaPosted on: 1-25-2026

Room was comfortable. Location was further out from the strip than would have been preferred. Not easy access due to coming in on back of strip when walking.

Staff was friendly but very slow. No amenities included. Water and coffee very expensive.

Love the way the rooms had their own kitchen and balcony that you could actually go out into

Was not centrally located to the strip, but a short walk

Family of 6 in Las Vegas to see a concert. We were extremely happy with the helpful staff at reception and the bar. The rooms were huge. Balcony with furniture to enjoy a coffee in the morning with views of the Sphere. We loved everything about the Platinum Hotel. Ray, at reception went above and beyond to give assistance and help out in any way. Lovely, hotel without the business of all the casinos on the strip. It's about a 10 minute walk from the heart of the boulevard. Uber, no problem at any time. Excellent location if going to a show in the Sphere. A home away from home.

The size of my room and everything in it was great

We lost my daughters ohjne and so we looked in every drawer and under the bed and found some not too good of things I’ll just say that . So the learners didn’t check all the things .

    10BECKYPosted on: 1-19-2026

I love The Platinum Hotel. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Please the bathroom doors. It’s very hard to open and there’s a couple of times where we thought we were locked out of it.

At check in, the cheerful agent got me a top floor room, and the view was excellent! We'd stayed here before, and I might actually like the east/non-strip view better (though the rare Sphere view rooms might be worth an ask some time). Minor issue with hot water was addressed promptly and with friendly, good service. A hotel that responds like this cares about their guests.

There's a block or two of the walk to the Strip that can feel a tiny bit 'scetch', but that's not anything the hotel is responsible for. And I think it's probably pretty safe, or a very quick Lyft back if one is concerned later at night.

Very convenient access to the CES venue. No casino on the premises, so the hotel is quiet and well suited for business travelers.A convenience store is located nearby, which makes the stay very convenient.

Coffee was provided in the room, which was appreciated, but we wished bottled water had also been included.

    9RebeccaPosted on: 1-12-2026

This was great location for the money, well located to the centre of the strip. Best for families or larger groups that wanted to cook & have meals in their room. Kitchen was great, rooms were incredibly clean. The sofa bed was comfortable Free parking - was a life saver. We had a small issue with plumbing in the toilet when we arrived & was sorted within 10 mins of making staff aware.

Nothing would stay again. (Only minor issue with location nothing to do with hotel … if walking to the strip area the path ways would be tricky for a family with a stroller)

    9RobertPosted on: 1-12-2026

Went to Vegas for a show at the Sphere. It is literally walking distance. We had a sphere view (much of the rooms do not. They look at the strip, rather than the sphere.

Check in and out time was a bit long.
