It has been resored wonderfully, withoutblosing the character of theboriginal. It is very very clean.
Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel. It felt like going back in time to the 1950s. Loved the historic decor throughout. The hotel is located in the historic section of Silver City. Therefore it is close to many shops, restaurants and art galleries.

It's proximity to the downtown area and the friendly staff.
The hotel had such a unique charm. It felt like you had stepped back in time 100 years. My favorite part was the huge staircase that creaked with each step. Great breakfast buffet! Staff so welcoming!

Nothing. Arriving at a decrepit building with its Days Inn sign broken out and blown away I was worried. The restaurant on the property was literally boarded up. Garbage blowing through the parking lot.

The room. It was very clean. The housekeeping staff are obviously really good at their jobs. I was a housekeeper in a Holiday Express for 3 years and I know how hard a job it is. So I appreciate everything housekeeping does to keep the rooms clean.

It was quiet and the room wasn't freezing.

Nothing. This is the dirtiest hotel we?ve ever stayed at. We got 3 rooms and EVERY room had stains on beds, dirty bathrooms was so bad! I wish I could add pictures of hotel rooms to this review! People in parking lot was rough. Stay clear of this place!
Able to have ground floor access an indoor pool
They allowed pets. Nothing else was noteworthy. It was a tedious check in and the breakfast was NOTHING special.

Top Tips
- Book your Silver City hotel 14 to 28 days ahead for summer stays (June-August) or during the Grant County Fair (late summer). Rates typically rise 15-30% for reservations made last-minute. Consider flexible cancellation options to help secure the best price.
- For consistent accessible rooms with elevator access, choose chain hotels along US-180 such as Holiday Inn Express or Best Western. Confirm ADA room type and elevator location when booking to ensure accessibility needs are met.
- Downtown hotels and B&Bs give you walkable access to restaurants and galleries within 1 to 3 blocks. Many have limited or no private parking, so call to confirm parking arrangements, especially during busy festivals or markets.
- If you need reliable in-room Wi-Fi for remote work, check internet speeds before booking. Smaller hotels may offer speeds from 10 to 50 Mbps; confirm with the property or read recent guest reviews if high-speed access is important.
- July to September brings afternoon and evening thunderstorms to southwest New Mexico, causing brief power flickers or occasional road closures. Pack a portable power bank to keep your devices charged, and check local alerts if planning evening travel.
- If you have sensitivities or specific requirements for drinking water, ask the hotel if water is municipal or from a private well. Larger hotels often provide filtered water stations or bottled options for guests; confirm available amenities when booking.
- ATMs are limited in Silver City, so carry a backup chip-enabled card and $50-$100 cash for smaller motels or local shops. Some businesses add card surcharges; verify accepted payment methods at check-in.
- Many small motels in Silver City do not offer in-room safes. Ask about secure front desk storage for valuables when you check in, or keep important items with you while sightseeing.
- Driving from Silver City to Gila Cliff Dwellings takes 45 to 60 minutes each way on winding or rough roads. Weather can add delays, so consider booking an extra night and check road reports before your trip.
- Pet-friendly Silver City motels typically charge $15-$40 per night for pets, sometimes with a refundable deposit. Confirm exact pet fees, restricted areas, and quiet hours before arrival to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.
